Thor 2,702
He played a lot better last night, but I still feel we need someone more dynamic in that role. Someone quicker, stronger, and who has the ability to take his man on. Willian has been absolutely useless on the wing, and I don't think his passing is quite good enough, but he has always done better in that central role for me. Maybe give him a shot at playing that more advanced role like Cesc plays.

Leif 6,006
Wanna renew Fabregas's mentality? Make him vice-captain; give him a reason to lead by example. When all players are playing well, he certainly leads more than others. And players gain confidence when they see Fabregas playing, well or not. He's a big figure, nevermind our best interview giver too.

Wouldn’t you want someone else who’s still learning to be a leader (but has potential to be) to be groomed by someone like Azpi? We don’t really have that many leaders in the squad atm.
Beigl 1,387
Had a great game on Sunday thanks to Kante and Bakayoko who protected him. I hope Conte will continue with a 3-man midfield, because that´s where Fabregas is at home. His link up with Hazard is exceptional. His passing is still great, albeit not as good as in 2014 when he joined us. Johnnyeye and the wes
Popular Post! communicate 2,703 Posted November 20, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted November 20, 2017 For all the crap that people said about him, from "he is done", or he should be sold, he has proven that he is by far our best chance creator. Nobody in our team can create and pass like Fabregas. With Fab we are not great defensively but without him our attacking quality does not exist. Special Juan 28,141
It's been helped massively with Kante being back, without him, Fabregas isn't allowed to do what he did against WBA. Fernando

I am neither blind nor crazy to believe that Cesc is not a very limited player and at fault many times, but whenever our team is clicking and playing beautiful football, i don't see any of his critics coming here and acknowledging how crucial he has been in those matches. Simply put, without Cesc our creativity is nonexistent, and that is not an exaggeration at all, the football we play without him is utterly boring and predictable. We can't just expect from a player like Eden to drop deep and start the attacks (something that we have seen time and time again when Cesc is not playing), that is a total waste of his talent. Eden needs to play right where he is playing at the moment. Sure, i would love to see an upgrade in the near future, but that is the useless board's job, not Cesc's. Till that time comes people should stop asking from him to do things that he cannot do, he is what he is and he will not become any better no matter how much we complain. P.S. I used to hate Cesc with a real passion and when we went after him i was 1000% against the move. After all this time has passed, i have to admit that i have never had such a big change of heart about anything in my life. And it is not just because of what he has offered to our club on the pitch, but also for his commitment and general ethos.  Hybrid Angel, Beigl, Despiadado.Maleante and 5 others

He can only play in our current formation IMO BlueSunshine, manpe and kellzfresh
The Skipper 20,609
Really good game, should’ve ended with like 2/3 assists if Morata has his shooting boots on. Beigl and Fulham Broadway
Fulham Broadway 17,313
So influential, and great he's recovered from the shenanigans last season thanks to the Spanish quartet. No way he'll get that amount of room against the bindippers, but is devastating when left unattended
Blusan Alamb 295
The best thing to have come out of 3-5-2 formation is Fab's overall passing game. If you do not start him in a 3-5-2 formation, it loses its most valuable essence IMO.

Beigl 1,387
Conte should have rested him against Qarabag, because Cesc had to start against Liverpool last night. With him we would have controlled the midfield like against United. With Baka and Kante in front of the defence there is enough room for Fabregas to support Hazard and Morata. His job is to link our midfield and attack and we missed this big time yesterday. Hazard and Morata were on their own countless times, because our midfielders and WBs were too defensive most of the time. BlueSunshine

Hybrid Angel 2,130
Cesc will always have my greatest respect for the professional he is. His commitment and level of performances last season despite limited playing time was outstanding. He's charismatic, a winner, leader, and a great person to have in the dressing room. The captain's armband on him wouldn't look out of place whatsoever. Who would have thought we'd be saying this a decade ago when he was at Arsenal? But here we are. Football is fucking unbelievable. nachikethas, DYC. and Blue-in-me-Veins
