The thing about Matic is that he can push forward as well as do his defensive duties. That to me is the modern midfielder, and I'm not entirely sure if Kroos can do that. Maybe we don't need that but it's certainly something to be considered if we're spending this much on a player.

I understand what you mean, but we already have two modern midfielders (possibly three if you want to add Nat to that) in MvG and Matic. It would be better if we could have a specialist playmaker in there in scenarios where we struggle to break down teams - Kroos would infinitely help in that regard.

Don't forget, he won't be too expensive either considering his contract is expiring in a year or so. He'd be available for a relatively fair price (i.e. £25m at most) which is fine.

With our current system I don't see Kroos getting many games against top teams and that's probably why he would dread coming here. He might not be used against teams who have good possession and long fast breaks, games where it doesn' take a fortune teller to figure out we'll have a midfield full of grinders.

He may be a good player,but not as good as some people make him out to be.I think we need a more dynamic player alongside Matic.Unfortunately Modric isn´t available.Modric and Matic would complement each other very well,I think.We have time to assess our options.

25 would be the starting price, especially knowing that Moyes is going to make him the number 1 target.

If he was 25m, Arsene wenger would be all over him....

If the bavarians sell kroos, they will have a long list of suitors.. However, i highly doubt Kroos leaves.

If I were to bet, I would bet Arsenal, United than Chelsea.

Gundogan but his back injury and fitness concern is something to worry about...but if he can come back and recover fully from d injury...i ll be highly dissappointed if we didnt go for him in the transfer window...cos his price will be cheap and he is a fucking good deep-lying playmaker that that will complement the beast in matic by 200%...another option is Vidal but he will cost us heaven to price away from Juventus...while the likes of koke and witsel are also worth considering...

why not ander herrera? , creative , technically astute and very hard working in defence.

Kroos is top player but not the type we need. First, he is more CAM than CM. He lacks pace for PL. His defending is average, strength wont help him. Modric, Alonso, Gundogan for example are much better at defending. He doesnt track back enough, doesnt work hard enough for Mou system.

If there are other options ala Vidal or fit Gundogan, get them. If they wont be available, Kroos will still be good addition.

Have not really watched him before a lot.Is he a DLP ala Modric,pirlo or more of an all round midfielder like Bastian or Gundogan?

Strootman would also be good choice, amazing player but shame he got injured and wont play for next 6 months...
