Kroos is top player but not the type we need. First, he is more CAM than CM. He lacks pace for PL. His defending is average, strength wont help him. Modric, Alonso, Gundogan for example are much better at defending. He doesnt track back enough, doesnt work hard enough for Mou system.

If there are other options ala Vidal or fit Gundogan, get them. If they wont be available, Kroos will still be good addition.

why not ander herrera? , creative , technically astute and very hard working in defence.

watched him vs valencia last night. controlled the game like modric would.

Have not really watched him before a lot.Is he a DLP ala Modric,pirlo or more of an all round midfielder like Bastian or Gundogan?

probably dlp. used in middle of midfield 3 and gives incisive attacking passes

he might be worth a shot...but have not been tracking his development for some period of time?...but is he a deep lying playmaker ala modric/gundogan...i guess he is not or all round midfielder ala vidal/bastian?

If united wanted to forgo their usual practice in terms of improving a team through signings they could actually do some serious damage. They earn profits so under FFP they're very very very very rich.
