If the Champions League final start wasn't enough, this call up is further proof that the lad can achieve everything he wants to at this club. He has shown patience and professionalism and it is paying off. Hopefully an England debut next week will be a great boost starting his season and Robbie hinted today he will play a big part this season.

IMO 20 starts and a few sub appearances will be progress from last season and give Ashley Cole both sufficient rest and competition. Anything more will be a bonus, but definately our future number one left back no question!
