Wouldn't put Sturridge in the same boat at all because he did perform here consistently when he was given a chance.

He was fantastic for the amount of time he got yes..but can't help but feel how much better he would have been with full backing.

Another common factor is how all three players were not played in their natural positions...Sturridge was tossed onto the right wing...Salah the same, and atm he's playing well in a free role for Fiorentina...even Schurrle was kept away from his preferred left wing role more often than not.

Exactly.

Most of them including KDB and Mata were playing in positions where they don't belong not Mourinho's fault and not their fault they didn't succeed.

The tactics requires the right winger to be more defensive than hazard, so all these players looking for free role will find it difficult here. That's why cuadrado should fit well like willian hopefully.

I think Salah needs free role here to score every game but i don't know if we can afford that because of hazard. Hazard+salah amazing offense but less defense so every one in this thread is right.

Well said. As a matter of fact, I see that the only way Salah can come back to Chelsea, is when Hazard gets sold - and with a possible €75,000,000 - €80,000,000 price tag on him, I think it's likely.

Hazard and Salah pretty much play the same role - with Hazard obviously being the currently way more mature and all rounded version. But at the end of the day, Hazard will always have much better ball control as well as passing skills, Salah will have the higher scoring prowess from inside and around the box.

Agreed Cuadrado needs to do more but it counts a 10 mins sub as a full game too and compared that with 70 mins or so every match Salah is getting is unfair atm. Maybe by the end of this season it would be more appropriate.

Watched the Lazio-Fiorentina game earlier and Salah was perhaps unlucky not to score on 1-2 occasions.

But my word, Fiorentina were truly abysmal. Blunt in attack and the defence was all over the place every time Lazio attacked. Hopeless performance.

Everyone else also forgets Cuadrado played centrally like Salah has done in some games for Fiorentina but yet again only scored 3 or 4 goals there in half a season......

He was probably Fiorentina's best player on the night, but they finally got punished at the back. They were all over the place most of the match.
