On a serious note, as I said after the Burnley match, the performance of the team changes more from game to game than with or without a certain player and that change is a function of too many variables and even the results often don't reflect the performance.

We won two very big matches without Nemanja, but we didn't play better than we were before his suspension. We kept two clean sheets, but we were more exposed defensively than we've been for much of the season with Matic. For me, that with and with stat is still mostly meaningless and can rarely be used as an indicative of anything.

No one who actually regularly watches Guarin would seriously want him in their team. Let me put in perspective: I would seriously take Mark Noble or even Joey Barton ahead of him!

The scout that recommended it needs firing.

To be fair, he showed some glimpses last season (even if utterly inconsistent even inside the same match!), but it turned out that that was his peak! Back to his usual at best average self this season.

The game changed after he left. Good DM but his style suit a slow paced and conservative game. Far from the godlike player he is pictured around.

Matic is a good player but his biggest weakness is his lack of mobility. Maybe that would be fine if he could compensate by his reading of the game but he cant do that either. ramires proved to be better because he has the legs to intercept their passes.

Honestly, id rather have Schneiderlin than Matic anytime of the week.
