That's a over simplistic way of looking at things. You can really blame the whole club for going balls deep in Torres to start with, it's still his terrible contract and transfer that are costing Chelsea, eating up way too much of the budget and with a board room desperate to make him work under how many managers now? That coupled with no real world class strikers being available for decent money, makes it a rather hard one. Could argue that he should have kept Lukaku though which I certainly wouldn't disagree with.

That was always the plan anyway, its just that we were very close this season. If we were out of it 2 months ago then it wouldn't have hurt like this (and its the manner that we lost it).

Can't believe a team with Johnson, Skrtel, Flanagan, Sterling and Allan in their starting XI is going to win the league. Absolute joke, almost as bad as their team that somehow won the 2005 Champions League.

Anyway, I'm confident that with a striker next season we can win the league. It will feel so much better if we do it next year after the pain of yesterday IMO.

Very Easy for a small team to play against chelsea this season.

Instead of attacking like an animal from the start, we only start to play after we concede a goal... it's a pathetic approach.

Lets not play the blame game now. it was quite clear from the beginning that it'd be very difficult to win a major trophy without a consistent goal scoring striker.

The only reason why Liverpool are doing better this season is because they are not in the Champions League and also the club gave Rodgers time to set up. Most of us are used to winning trophies every season so the current situation might anger a few but if you all really think about it,Jose has done a terrific job in just one season.

Liverpool finished 7th last season and now they are top. Just imagine where we'll be next season!

Why with "cheap" players like countinho,sterling,henderson u can attack and lead 2-0 after 10 minutes, but with 30 mil players like oscar,willian u can't?

We really need a good striker. and some hungry midfielders.
