Man United won last year looking like crap and RVP brilliance the whole season...

Fergie's been winning 1-0 all the time these past few seasons..... Cant expect to be like Barca, Madrid, or bayern and consistently destroying teams 4-0 in their respective leagues....

In truth, we need a CM more than ever. Santa Claus ?

Nah, he has a ridiculously high release clause and his corpulence would cause massive mobility issues in the pivot. Wait, perhaps I read your comment the wrong way..........

Sell such a top class player? HUH!?!?!?!

I guess our definitions of 'top class' is different.

If the right monies (40m?) comes for David Luiz, I will say selling is a better option.

United and Fergie has actually made a mockery of the league by having a half baked team which kept winning titles and very little investment when compared to others. While we have already spend heel lot of money which should warranty comfy wins against teams like Crystal Palace (no offense to the smaller teams) than have crappy wins.

Honestly after so much investment why can't we be in the same league like the Bayerns, the Barcas or the Madrids?

Agree with the notion but then again, our investment in recent seasons have hardly been utilized rightly in strenghtening all areas of the squad properly like a DM, ST and central midfield playmaker. Instead, we spent millions after millions buying this AM, that AM, overstocking the area when we already have enough players in there.

My point is that we have had all the investment in the world to make a world class squad which team like United and Arsenal haven't spend. Now we were stupid to put our money in one type of stock is a different story all together. Looking at the City team is what u wanted from Chelsea to be honest, investing the money rightly.

Coming to that the management had a certain vision (Pep) and they got a different one in Jose now. It is like a big fusion happening right now! Anyways like i said different story all together.

Millions poured into Chelsea, yearly. New coach, new tactics he says...etc.

Meanwhile, the team struggles to beat the bottom teams. Plays terrible football, several players are having problems to crack into the lineup..

All I read here, Chelsea are only 2 points off the top. Amazingly, it´s true. Let´s see Chelsea when they will face much better teams in CL. Perhaps, then we may be pleasantly surprised or the team gets clobbered. Who knows ?

It's a miracle we are second on the table with such shitty midfield. Mou and everybody else know we have a very medicore set of midfielders but there is always too much of a power struggle in the club for anyone to make a change

The way I see it is that Hazard+Mata has been a great combo for us in the last year or so, great linkup and understanding between them.. so If each of them was playing without the other we'd struggle more in attack. Willian was great today, we looked composed with those 3 and if they continued playing together we probably would have scored more.

Side note: the double season was exceptional, we can't score 103 goals in the league every fucking season. Even Real Madrid can't do it despite all that money.

Still, Hazard-Willian-Schurrle would be best for counter-attacking football.

I agree with the person who said we were lucky to win, and unlucky not to win by more. There just doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to a lot of our play at the moment, and honestly we do look at times like 11 individuals who have been thrown onto the pitch with little instruction. In games like the one away to West Ham you could see what the players were trying to do, and they did it as a unit.

We just seem resigned to being camped about 30 yards away from the opposition goal and relying on something to happen. Better teams will find a way to counter this, and worse teams already have but we're second in the table somehow so let's worry about that when it happens.

Despite Chelsea´s win, for which I am happy, the only positive thing I see from this game is Iva´s yellow card. It means, this hoof ball specialist will sit out the next game.

Seriously? You are glad one of our players is suspended?

I'm shocked at this forum lately...

Everybody always complaining, can't even be happy with a Win? What is the world coming too?

How many times does it have to be said - there are NO EASY games in the EPL. Anybody can beat Anybody on the day.

This arrogance that we deserve to win a game because we paid more for players and pay more wages than the opponent has to stop.

Our opponents are super motivated to beat us - we have to fight hard every game just to be on the pitch.

Sure the performance wasn't breathtaking - but the lads battled it out an won! This is a hard skill to learn and this Chelsea team needs to learn it and fast. This is what future's are built on, hard work, guts, determination and belief.

Mourinho is trying, the players are trying - or are you telling me they are deliberately playing bad? So I'm happy.

I hope Santa delivers you guys a big bag of 'reality check'. We are qualified for CL knockout, sit 2nd in the league, QF of cup on Tuesday night... Now explain to me how shit we are once again? Because there's many a fuckin supporter worldwide that would LOVE to be in our position!!!

Honestly... I'm shocked...

When it comes to Iva being suspended, I would not say I am glad, but perhaps, it´s the only way to get Iva off. Not very happy with his hoof balls, I must admit.

Whether you are shocked or not, it´s not my concern I just posted my opinion on Iva. Bend over backwards.
