OneMoSalah 8,886
I see Willian is a selfish with salah .. didnt pass to Salah despite good positioning Salah was inI dont say tha because i'm Egyptian, but I think many many people have noticed that and that costed us a match and may be a titleHas to be the stupidest thing I've seen posted on here EVER. Maybe cost us a title by not passing to Salah? Who says Salah would have scored, in fact I would have bet more on Eto'o scoring than Salah tbh. Jase 43,479
Yes Mata is better than Willian when it comes to the final third, but did you see how many times he got muscled off the ball against Everton on Sunday when they pressed him?! I reckon he'd be pretty screwed against Atletico tomorrow — Willian is much better adapted to the physical side of the game. That is not completely wrong but would have like to think that if Mata was still playing under Mourinho, he wouldn't be THAT weak to be musceld off the ball so easily. Would have gone through proper physical training to improve his body strength. It's staggering that since he went to United, you don't really see him putting that kind of same defensive effort that he did while he was still here (as he got better) at United. Goodness knows what Moyes does with him (and the team as a whole).P.S It's also a bit funny that Mata now finds himself at a club where the manager gets huge pressure and facing the sack etc, again. Instead I remember Mata saying that Mourinho hadn't spoken to him personally telling him what/where he needs to improve so Juan would probably not have specifically improved his body strength. Having said that, I don't remember him being muscled off the ball that easily when he was here.
Henrique 9,133
To be honest I don't even know what those people are talking about, probably just one of the random things that happened during the game, but somehow egypt fans are making it a big deal. Disgusting. I have to admit it makes a bit difficult to have more sympathy for Salah.About his performance, I think its unbelievable how the british press love the mediocrity, saying William was one of the best on the pitch, or eve brilliant. In tactical terms he was perfect, playing more as a full back than a midfield or winger, but he was just okay, and the team as whole was just okay, I don't think we saw any kind of individual brilliant performance from both sides. Disgusting. I have to admit it makes a bit difficult to have more sympathy for Salah. It was a massive counter chance wasted while we were 1-1. Willian got caught in the thought of shooting, passing behind a defender to Eto'o or passing infront of the other defender to Salah. The right pass should have can much earlier to Salah. Eto'o is the striker however and Willian being right footed instinctually passed to the guy on his left. Easy for us to criticize from our seats or whatever when the defense isn't closing in around you. Barbara and Henrique
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Thought Willian worked his ass off today. Didn't offer much going forward but was inch perfect defending and got out on the break with pace. Next year he will have a massive year for sure. kellzfresh

Shakez 755
Alongside Hazard Mourinho's most trusted AM atm. Let's cash in that 30 million price tag next week Willi!
Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted April 23, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted April 23, 2014 Just after the match he told that Mourinho asked him to follow their FB and that he felt like he played as one (FB) and that he did as he was asked. That's one of the great things about Willian. Whatever he's asked to do he'll give his blood doing it.I'm sure once the system is more stable and we're better in some positions - especially the pivot being made of more physical, stronger and better passing players - Willian will have more freedom to be the player he can be.I can't forget that Mourinho post-match interview before the Arsenal match I guess, where he admitted that the team wasn't ready for the system to work and he had to take a more defensive approach. He's sacrificing his AMs more than he'd like to. Yes, Oscar and Willian or Schurrle and Salah will always be asked to press and tackle (and the Brazilians are very good on that and it comes almost effortless to them, although it's demanding physically and can wear them down), but they won't be asked to sacrifice their attacking game so much. Oscar still needs to find a balance between both things, he can't do well on both at the same time it seems, but he has time. But Willian is readier and once he puts his first season here behind him I think he's going to be a great player for us. He's very tactical, he's committed to whatever the managers asks and while he doesn't seem like a brilliant cookie off the pitch (not that I care), he's decently smart to play football as a creative AM.He has the same commitment, diligence, resilience than Ramires (can't deny those things about Rami), but he isn't prone to losing his head and he's way more technical. I think we need more players with such profile or to develop those things (in the youngsters case). Mourinho demands that from his players which is why I don't see Rami, Luiz, Iva, Azpili, Willian among other ever leaving under Mourinho's management. Some of those guys have too many ups and downs in some aspects of their games, but they have just the right attitude. Willian has a higher ceiling - even if he's 25 already - than most of the rest as well as flair and technique. It only adds to his package and I'm sure we'll be all very proud of him next season. And could we please let the price tag ever go? Does Bale play like a 100m player? No, because that's only Messi and Ronaldo (price tag), but you don't see Madrid fans saying it. He's playing well for them, he's stepping up when he needs, but he isn't playing as a 100m player. We could take a page or two from their book. Clubs decide price tags, the players don't tell how much they cost. BlueLyon 9,359
All young players have ups and downs, not just here (Isco, Pogba, Reus,...have been average in certain period of games), so it is normal that Oscar, Schurrle, Hazard,...show inconsistency. But Willian is 25 and nearing his prime. He needs to step up and put consistantly good displays next season. His decision making for his age is quite average and has to improve. He had nearly a free role before and now he has tons of defensive responsibilities and it's new in the team. I don't expect him to have the best season ever for us... kellzfresh and The Skipper

Popular Post! The only place to be 11,313 Posted April 27, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted April 27, 2014 If he passes that ball back to Torres instead of scoring himself, he wins the Player of the Year vote by a landslide....unless Torres gets down on his hands and knees and heads the ball over the line....or nudges the ball over the line with his cock.
