The club are also expecting a fee of £20m-£25m for the rest of the season. The previously mentioned well-known airlines such as Qatar Airways, Riyadh Air and Turkish Airlines are participating in the talks. The remaining interested companies come from the US. Riyadh Air was also considering a joint proposal to sponsor the club with another Saudi entity linked to PIF. Chelsea are set to sign a package worth up to £60m a year in a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal (men’s and women’s teams) from next season if they qualify for the UCL. Good performances on the pitch put the club in a much better negotiating position than at the beginning of the season. A few months ago, Inter concluded a similar agreement with Qatar Airways as the training kit sponsor. The expanded partnership includes brands such as Visit Qatar and Hamad International Airport. Yes the club fault for that, but still they will sort it out thus giving us a rare opportunity to own the Chelsea shirt without any logo. I kind of like that to be fair. A shirt sponsor for a handful of games only? We’re now 3 years into their ownership and are STILL without a long term front sponsor. Literally how is that possible?
