MrExcalibur100 7,124
I hope we actually start getting linked to players we need. Once the market is officially opened, we have to do our business as swiftly as possible for a world-class CM and a good, young LB. I also wouldn't mind another winger or number 10 as I'm yet to be convinced by the quality of Schurrle, Willan or Salah. It's good that the Costa deal already seems sorted, so that's a +1 for our board.BUT if we start dragging our feet, another 3rd place finish is on the cards. The summer is the most important part of next season.
Sheva. 5,373
He's a liability in defence. He's very fast and can recover some mistakes, but he keeps flying everywhere to get the ball, vacating his spot. But a top manager might make him calm down a bit. BleedsBlue 1,549
At this stage I'd like to see more of Kalas than any new centre back signing. Also if we are signing a left back then Iva would prove to be a more effective cb than as a right back.
OneMoSalah 8,886
Tbh if we do sell Luiz, I'd rather someone like Phil Jones or even Varane who have proven themselves in leagues better than the Portuguese. Also we don't need 2 new CBs, just the one if Luiz goes. Kalas looks more than ready to play a lot more based on the Liverpool performance. Waterfall 893
Make sense that we won't be making a 35M investment on a position we have good depth in. Makes his comment even weirder
Pizy 18,897
I bet he ends up going for less than the insane prices rumored. Don't even think City are going to spend that much on a CB this summer. If he really pushes for a move I think he goes for significantly less than £35m. He'll be very good when surrounded by other top players too. RoyalBlues 4,050
I heard that there have been discussions with Manchester City about Mangala, but the clubs did not reach an agreement. With Luiz leave, if, if and if Jose think we need CB replacement. I think we should go for Mangala. There is better chance we could get Mangala than Varane, I think.
Miki-Liki 405
Why give Zouma or Christensen a chance when you can splash out 35 million on Mangala?
nore_ega 8
Why give Zouma or Christensen a chance when you can splash out 35 million on Mangala?Because maybe one day those 2 can be were mangala is at now. And spending all the time and not giving our youth a chance is not the right way to go forward as club and a buisness..
RoyalBlues 4,050
Why give Zouma or Christensen a chance when you can splash out 35 million on Mangala?Exactly, let's buy them all, and loan as many as we want. F*** FFP, f*** uefa.

Special Juan 28,141
Really don't think we will be in for a CB at all. Fetch Zouma back in and that will be Zouma, Cahill, Terry and Ivanovic, then we have Kenneth/Kalas and it's a toss up who goes back out on loan.
