Pizy 18,988
And now they'll be going after a few more taking their spending in 2014 alone over £200m.They're LITERALLY buying the league back. If any other club did this there would be mass hysteria, uproar, and calls for huge bans. That's the thing that gets me angry. It's like they can play by different rules than everyone else. Pizy 18,988
It's because they 'earned the money' (by selling more shirts in Asia) This is why FFP is such a joke. It's fair for United to spend unlimited money because they've "earned" it but it's unfair for an owner who loves their club and wants to give his supporters a great product. Never mind the fact that they're more than £300m in debt, because they generate > £400m they can spend without penalty.Going to be even sweeter when ourselves, City, and Arsenal all scupper their attempt at buying the title. Y123CFC 69
What do people think of this transfer for Real Madrid?I think them replacing Di Maria with Rodriguez leaves them worse off. Let's be honest, they only bought James because of him having a good World Cup.

OneMoSalah 8,887
Yeah nobody seems to have mentioned Madrid are the real idiots here, buying James Rodriguez for however much millions when they have a player who was twice as good and also tactically very important to their team. Still 60M for a player that doesn't want to be there is exceptional business. Also all this laughing at United for spending 60M on a player, who is very good and I would consider world class, its not as bad as when we spent 50M on Torres when he was already looking to be finished is it? United are still well off the pace though, top 4 will be a struggle unless they get another central midfielder and center back of a very high standard if they intend on playing this 3-5-2. Pizy 18,988
If James has a year that the Madrid board feel isn't spectacular I wouldn't be surprised if they started sniffing around Hazard as their next obsession.
5354 204
I find it ridiculous that Real Madrid was able to sell a player that they did not want for 60m.United is spoiling the market by willing to pay such price. Aren't there any better left wingers around?
