robdog 2,084
errr we played much better once torres was on and was practically all over them. Here's a thought, why not make a change @ the half & not when your side goes down two goals? Sorry you can praise FSW, I won't. A tired team & only one sub? I can't wait for this season to end
remains of the day 564
but he made some decent interceptions No. He didn't make "decent interceptions." I watched mikel very closely and If i'm not mistaken he made one interception....one.

Stingray 9,441
There's no point moaning about the pen and the Aguero challenge too much. Fact is we were hugely outplayed and were lucky not to concede 6 goals. Sure.. it makes it harder to take knowing the decisions we shoulda got and that they scored the luckiest goal of the decade but they were so much better. It's easy to play at 2-0 down, we had nothing to lose and City stopped. We've won the cup a lot lately, we can't win it every year and now we have to keep our heads up and bring the lads over the line in what has been a very tough campaign. Let's just get that 4th place and move on because we'll be back fighting for everything soon. If you look at things, we had no Lampard, Cole, Drogba (of course), Terry and many of our tough players that we used to have not so long ago. It's a new Chelsea and at least we gave it a good go and weren't disgraced. The young players at this club will've gained so much experience from this season and it's not over yet. What may seem gutting right now will prove to be great in a year plus.Best post! So true. Thanks.
Milan 17,958
Probably the only positive thing today. He just keeps scoring that! Shame though, it deserves to be a match winner.

Santiago. 1,500
This game TRULY signifies the pure weaknesses in our squad. STDLPDMLBCBThose are the areas we desperately need to strengthen next season if we want to continue competing in silverware Mikel, Cole, Bertrand, Terry, Torres, Ivanovic, Ramires, none can perform on a consistent basis and/or have the quality to take this club to new heights.Squad players at best the lot of them. Options, Maybe?Strikers- Schurrle + Lukaku +BAMidfield - Benat/Modric + Khedira/Fellaini/Bender+ De BryuneLB - ???????????CB - Amorebieta/Subotic
GodZola 630
Contrary to what some have said we have every right to vent some anger towards the Foy, Kompany would of gone for his foul on Torres & its a pen so its possibly 2-2 then Aguero should of gone - game changing decisions that he got completely wrong & I agree he should retire. That said City deserved to win, some of our players failed to turn up, Mata & Hazard were woeful as was Oscar until he was moved into a central position, we definitely missed JT's leadership at the back, like most I really cannot fathom Benitez's thinking at times? We need a goal so he leaves Lampard on the bench for the whole game? We were clearly being overrun in midfield so why did he not change personnel & formation at half time? As soon as Torres came on & Oscar played in the middle we were a different side. Too little too late.
Backstreet09 499
Totally heart broken and demented right now, It was our cup and Citizens did not played better than us.#knowdadifference. We were totally shit, showed no passion, and that Yaya Toure cunt toyed us like we were some barbies #disgrace
BlueLyon 9,359
We played shit all the way until Ba scored. City deserved to win. We need to start play games in beggining, not in second half when we are behind...Ref was cunt to I agree, so were Aguero, Yaya and Kompany, but its football and if we started playing from 1st minute we might won. Yaya destroyed us once again, embarrasing defending. Also: I dont see the point of having Oscar in this team anymore. Mata and Oscar cant play together long term, they are too similar in playstyle, but both are extremely weak. You have short players too, but they are quite strong like Messi, Aguero or Lucas. Oscar and Mata are soooo weak it pisses me off when City bullies our team...Oscar...he has some great potential and skill, but he will never be pivot or Lampard type of player. He is not engine and is average when on pressure. I dont see him play together with Mata, ever. Unless we move to La liga where you dont need much power at all.I like Oscar realy much but he just keeps the ball, makes some nice skill but then its over...I realy dont ser what part will he play in this team...either in 4:3:3 or 4:2:3:1 we need typical winger. Schurle or Ayew or someone else...shooting from distance and fast direct dribbling based on pace and power rather skill is what we need. We have plenty of ball wankers, we need distributors who make game faster...I hope we sign Mou and let him fix this mess.

JT all washed up?, He needs GAMES, then, guess what, he will become MATCH fit.
BlueLion. 21,491
Can't believe no-one's voted Cech MOTM. The only player who showed up for us in the first half. It was because of his numerous saves we even had a chance. Could do nothing about either goal.

kobematabryant 400
This game really reminded me of FA cup final.last year vs liverpool. 2-1 result. We dominated that game first half and sucked second half. Same thing here but we were Liverpool. Very gutted.
Stats 7,145
No. He didn't make "decent interceptions." I watched mikel very closely and If i'm not mistaken he made one interception....one.Yeah but he done his job. He did not have a bad game. Did he do anything that was sloppy? They dominated the game however none of the goals you can really blame him. He held his position well and done an excellent pass for Ba which unfortunately he could not finish. Also, Lampard was and always is a CAM. He might of played cm in the 4-4-2, but he aint no prototypical CM. Their a reason why England struggles so much with him and Gerrard together... Anyways, I've been saying all season long, Chelsea need wingers..... Fast, direct wingers.. I haven't seen KDB play much, but I don't think he is either of those... Chels 238
Mikel was not that bad. We lost the midfield battle yes, but he made some decent interceptions and before anyone says something stupid like he "was subbed off because he was shit", no, he was subbed off because we needed a tactical change and thus went with two upfront. I would not say any player was hugely disappointing but the better team won on the day.Correct... we lost the midfield as you pointed out, because Mikel was bad. He was Yaya's bitch.I've never seen the bloke with any aggression, anyway it's not just this game I am basing it on.Overall the bloke is not good enough, he will have good spells, but he will not dominate the midfield. That is a fact. Even Hazard got a beating from him. But guess we will have to agree to disagree.
