Polo7 3,496
Hopefully this means we wont see Torres for the rest of the season. Still think Ba is shit, but less shit than Torres. We should be proud to be where we are with the current crop of strikers. robsblubot, The Chels and The only place to be
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Fair play to the guy, he scored and he has again shown to be a much better player than Torres, but that isn't saying much. However, I wasn't thoroughly impressed with his general play. He was to easily marked out and he just stood like a lamp-post at times. He seems like the short term answer for our remaining away matches this season though I fully expect and want to see Eto'o start the home games, especially the big one against Atletico Madrid. CHOULO19 24,332
If he wants to go to PSG, we can make Ba-Cavani switch How much do you reckon PSG will have to pay us to make that transfer? Shane
BlueLyon 9,359
How much do you reckon PSG will have to pay us to make that transfer? Well Ba is big game player while Cavani is big game flop. Probably around 50mio, make it 60 as the market nowdays is inflated as hell. CHOULO19
lionsden 4,689
This is why it's important to have a big squad. injuries and loss of form means players that can come in and do a job are always beneficial. happy for the lad . he has been very patient all season and accepted his role very well. BleedsBlue 1,549
He is obviously not happy here and there is lots of rumors that he wants to leave. but from the 3 strikers we have he is the one to keep for next seasonAdmit it. All 3 have to leave irrespective of their recent short run of form. Their departures will free up a lot of wages and also give the strikers better first team opportunities else where. As Bleedsblue has mentioned above, all 3 STs have to go this summer. IF we are going to keep one this summer, it's probably Eto'o at most. Has shown he can still produce it (better than Torres and Ba) and why Mourinho trust him more than the other two. didi007 and The Chels

Rubber bullets 1,183
What are the chances that he will be first choice striker for the reast of the season? Considering that he is probably the closest thing we have to a target man (although that's not his best attribute anyway) and with Eto or Torres we either way stuggle to create chance somight as well have someone we can use a route one approach if necessary. Torres is the complete opposite. Muzchap

Certainly you may be right about Eto'o and Ba being frequently rotated but it does seem like he doesn't trust Torres at all unless we're really desperate. Even then Torres' instructions seem to be to stay wide and be an extra defender

No point raising any expectation any longer. But surely at this stage of the season its trying to find (however unlikely it might be) consistancy with the striker instead of breaking it all up and stopping anyone developing good form.Have done that this season but no one can seem to find any consistency anyway especially when Mourinho has pretty much rotated between Eto'o (home) and Torres (away) for most of the season. calculatingInfinity 1,472
Glad to see him getting games over Torres. Eto'o is probably still the better option for many games, but Ba should be way above Torres.
