didierforever 7,349
is he taking training from torres? it was as if he was playing like shit on purpose. look at his first 1 on 1 of the match. i seriously got the feeling he fluffed it on purpose. this guy is turning out to be a total disappointment, more than torres, because to be honest, i for one knew exactly the shit we were gonna get from torres but i really expected BA to get us thru all the shit. instead he's giving such performances. would have been way better if we had just called LUKAKU back from his loan. Hamilton 2,120
Should have scored at least one, out of those two open chances in first half..Really tought Rafa was going to change him for Torres.

Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted March 17, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 17, 2013 Are you guys serious? This guy offers SO much more than Torres. His link up play and movement was superb today, he gave Mata & Hazard the platform and space to do what they did today. You seriously don't get that with Torres. Torres wouldn't have got into those positions to begin with.Okay, he was off with his finishing today. But you seriously can't compare ONE bad game (finishing wise) compared to TWO years of hell with Torres. Surely you guys are more intelligent than that? kellzfresh, Mufassir08, The Mak and 8 others
different level 1,056
Demba and Nando are like Batman and Robin of the missed chances, especially if they're both wearing their masks Just kidding, there are games when nothing works for you, I'm sure he'll be better next time out. The Mak 4,459
We should banish the word 'striker' from Chelsea and just call them all false 9's, even though they're not, but it might help!
Popular Post! kellzfresh 7,229 Posted March 17, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 17, 2013 Ba - passes to teamates, opens space for players, holds up the ball, lays it off and makes runs into the box, has a reasonable first touch.Torres - passes to opposition, blocks our players shots, can't hold up the ball, a statue in the box, makes a run into the box once in 3 games, can't control the ball with that wonderful first touch. Both can't finish but we all know who's far better, don't be naΓ―ve. Jase 43,479
Suspected Torres dressed up as Ba today. Shocking misses but as Ollie pointed out, he had a stinker today but if this continues, then we really do have a problem!
Mufassir08 2,400
His performance was good it was just his finishing that was way off.

Styles 9,790
Perhaps his first poor game in a Chelsea shirt. Should have at least put one away. Still 16563453845690x better than Torres.
DH1988 1,348
Wtf am I reading!? The only problem was he had an off day with finishing. Movement, hold up and that nature were still amazing, Same as we expected!! Mufassir08, xPetrCechx and kellzfresh
Manuf 1,448
our team learned how to by-pass the striker, Ba looked annoyed but he should take his chances.
BleedsBlue 1,549
He had the Torres flu yesterday.I am sure his finishing will be better next time.
robsblubot 3,595
We are making life for Ba way too easy by comparing him to Torres. So let's forget Torres for a second here.Honestly, I think Ba is very far from the world class striker Chelsea need to compete at the highest level. Can you really compare Ba to RVP, Dzeko, Aguero, Suzrez, even Giroud (consider potential there as he is very young). I like having a towering striker like Ba as an option, but I'd rather not have him start against Real Madrid next year when we play for the CL... straight from my crystal ball. Sure, he should have scored a couple of goals from the chances he got but other than that his performance was top class and with a little more concentration in his finishing people would be creaming over how good he is. I really don't mind having a striker who, despite occasionally being wasteful in front of goal, always gets in those goalscoring positions because of his great movement and everyone else around him get more space too because the opponent are really scared of him. kellzfresh, Stats, The Skipper and 1 other
Popular Post! Leif 6,006 Posted March 18, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 18, 2013 Hasn't Van Pussy failed to score in like, his last 6 or 7 games or something? I doubt you'll see people on the United forum going "OMGZ LETZ NOT PLAY WITH HIM ANYMORE, WOT A FLOP. LETZ PUT A RESERVE TEAM STRIKER UP INSTEAD" lol. He's just having a rough patch! He creates space, tries hard (remember that out-stretched leg within the first few minutes of the game? You know, risking his body's health just to score us a goal? Passion. Desire.) He also made quite a few key passes yesterday and had brilliant awareness despite his lack of finishing-prowess on the day. I personally believe that it's no coincidence his 2 worst games for us (in my opinion) have happened against both his former clubs. Perhaps he just has this mental barrier after he's connected with fans which he's finding hard to break? He seems like a really respectful guy, but who knows. He adds lots to the team. Hazard plays better with him. Mata plays better with him. He's a focal point. He's someone Cech can actually kick the ball up to when under pressure and not lose possession from it every time. Someone who can out-muscle and shrug off defenders before laying the ball off to Mata who'll make a splitting pass to Moses to grab onto before crossing in. Oh and Ba is back in the box by the time that cross comes in! He's a hard worker. You can't berate him for having an off-day. It's incredibly unfair. Shaan 263
Honestly I'd rather see ba miss those chances than see through balls and crosses passed to thin air , while torres the most weak-willed player I have ever had the misfortune to watch is busy day dreaming ...
