Fernando Torres

Simeone did what no manager could, maybe just maybe he could be a miracle worker after all.

Torres isn't back, he's is playing at a similar level he did under Jose in 13/14, i.e. still average but at least resembles something off a footballer.

If wiki isn't lying to me he has 4 in 22, including tonight's game, in La Liga, that's actually a worse strike rate than what he had here.

Lmao, he's a role player not an automatic starter like he was here. His record is good & he's scored a bunch of important goals for them already.

Casillas was shit for last three years, but you cant take away his career as whole. World cups and euro, 3 CL, 7 la liga titles. Till Mou benched him, he was one if not best GK for several years, along Buffon. But he turned quite shit after that and last three years he was overrated as fuck.

He become realy good at very young age (around 19), but declined quickly too. After 30, he wasnt the same. Hopefuly this wont happen with Tibo.

Cech was always better than Iker. Cech may be the most under rated keeper of all time, no respect for the man. At the same time Iker was in his prime I would have taken Cech every day of the week.

How agree to this, Cech is an absolutely fantastic keeper.

his brain fart moment aside (kinda soft must say) he looks a lot fitter than when with us.

After this fucking season I have to question our fitness coaches and their methods... it's like every player runs more and does more elsewhere.

I think he's just more motivated.

So can returning to your home club

Sure, but supporters tend to talk about games only and not consider that players also need motivation in practice, sometimes even more so. So they can stay fit and deliver on game day.

mu original point is that torres looks fitter, slimmer than when he was with us. It might be just motivation, being home and all, but remembering the very round form of our players beginning of the season, perhaps our fitness preparation isn't or hasn't been that great ?
