Just listening to BBC Radio 1 and during their Sports News section they said that Chelsea have dismissed reports about Torres being sold and that he is very much part of the future.

Selling players + sacking managers isn't the solution. We spent 50mil on him for FS... we can just sell him in a year just like that .... I strongly believe its upto AVB to bring back the player's form... his first interview with Chelsea ... he made all sorts of promises saying its about getting the right empathy ... and now it sounds like blah blah blah

yeah selling him would be stupid, and we would be criticized from all over... but he isnt done for the club yet...

again, just needs a run of games and faith from the manager to play him through thick and thin... he'll come good, all the games he played (except liverpool which he got NO SERVICE) he played very well for the TEAM.. and you cannot deny that...

Torres & Lukaku will be our only strikers during this stage (I know it can be argued that Kalou isn't a striker, but let's pretend.). So selling him is silly, I agree. But if he doesn't deliver between Jan-June, then Edison Cavani.. Step up

Gems only known to scouts.. We only hear about the superstars. No doubt there are players of Cavani's ability who are fairly unknown, it's a matter of finding them. Let's hope our revamped scouting network pays off.

To be honest, if we just keep grooming Lukaku.. All we may need to do is find support for him, who can double up as strikers, and hope they deliver more than we thought we'd get. Like Anelka, but younger.
