The FA feel the pathological need to sustain the credibility and name recognition of ManUtd. Why? Because they are worth the most out of all the clubs? Which club has the most supporters? ManUtd. Which club will attract the most sponsors and TV deals? ManUtd. The FA has the League in my mind, not any team and it just so happens the easiest and most effective way is to sway everything in the favour of their unstoppable juggarnaut, ManUtd. That's exactly what I'm suggesting. They aren't doing it because they are ManUtd, they are doing it because ManUtd is the 'main' team of the Premier League. That's how I see it anyway.
