Popular Post! Jase 43,479 Posted April 8, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted April 8, 2013 Don't want to be negative but City's performance tonight provide more reasons why the chances of us winning this Sunday is rather low. Will be too powerful, physical and fresher for us to deal with. And our recent performances and results against City are not giving much optimism either. xPetrCechx, nachikethas, Rmpr and 2 others
Jase 43,479
David Silva picked up a hamstring injury in the derby. Now a doubt for this semi final apparently.
Ollie 4,400
This is gonna be such a hard game. They were good today although i think Man Utd were equally bad and we were better at Old Trafford than City were. They have a lot of strength and physicality, if we win, it will be a great achievement. I'll actually be surprised if we went through given our schedule, City's rest and their recent record against us. Not sure how we'll play, might be a containing job first half then maybe come out in the 2nd. Everyone needs a top performance or our FA Cup run will be over. The rest they get could be the crucial factor.

Hutcho 8,443
I would actually play David Luiz and Mikel in CM. David Luiz i think could do a Yaya toure type role fairly well. It also means we will have a lot of cover and he should be able to increase tempo and still produce some good passing. Ramires' stamina and box to box mentality would be missed but Ramires and Mikel are such poor passers we struggle getting the ball out and need Mata and Hazard to drop deeper.Probably would go with:CechAzpi Cahill Terry ColeDavidLuiz MikelMoses Mata HazardBaOscar to come on at half time or so, depending on the situation to freshen up our attack.Won't happen but i think it would be worth a go. Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted April 8, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) Man City are the only team I have a pessimistic attitude towards. I think they're the only top team in the PL that have genuinely caused us problems in the last couple of seasons. I am more optimistic about us beating United or anyone else in the league than I am about us beating CIty tbh. Have been for a couple a seasons now. It's going to take an off day from them for us to beat them me thinks. Hopefully Rafa rests plenty of players this thursday because we're going to have to be on our A game to beat these lot.My team:CechAzpi - Luiz - Terry - BertrandMikel - RamiresMata - Oscar - HazardBa.We need Mikel and Ramires and midfield simply because we get high energy and counter attacking abilities from Ramires whilst also having a solid holding midfield player in Mikel. We need a combative midfield against City. I can see why people want a Mikel - Luiz pivot but you don't leave Ramires out of games like these. Backstreet09 499
Going with a 4-2-3-1 would be suicidal against the Citizens. If I was Rafa, I'd have gone with the 4-4-2.Azpi-Iva-Luiz-BertrandHazard-Ramires-Oscar-Mata Ba - TorresI can't see this team losing

Backstreet09 499
We'd get shredded if we played this team. We'd get raped if we'd play mikel in the double pivot shit .Plus, we are so predictable, Let's surprise those muthafucka starting Torres and Ba together and see how things goes . If I be nuetral for a second, I don't see a chance of us winning lol. But we can atleast give them a mini heartattack by trying something new

Ramires was useless at RM/RW against City in the league game.We lack a proper winger: Moses is still a work in project, Ramires isn't a winger and Oscar doesn't look comfortable out wide. We'll put a good fight against City but with their fresher legs, they'll win 3-1.
