Hopefully that Fat twat learns from his mistakes and DOESN"T deploy a 4231. We'll get run over in the midfield.

No chance. He's as rigid as they come in regards to the formation. One can hope he has learned from the mistakes made in the last game.

It won't be the 4-2-3-1, it will be if he puts Lampard and Ramires in the pivot. Mikel and Ramires should be fine, but the former will just see Ramires being wasted trying to be the DM in order to free up Lampard, who will just be anonymous and picked of by the likes of Toure.

This is gonna be such a hard game. They were good today although i think Man Utd were equally bad and we were better at Old Trafford than City were. They have a lot of strength and physicality, if we win, it will be a great achievement. I'll actually be surprised if we went through given our schedule, City's rest and their recent record against us. Not sure how we'll play, might be a containing job first half then maybe come out in the 2nd. Everyone needs a top performance or our FA Cup run will be over. The rest they get could be the crucial factor.

I would actually play David Luiz and Mikel in CM. David Luiz i think could do a Yaya toure type role fairly well. It also means we will have a lot of cover and he should be able to increase tempo and still produce some good passing. Ramires' stamina and box to box mentality would be missed but Ramires and Mikel are such poor passers we struggle getting the ball out and need Mata and Hazard to drop deeper.

Probably would go with:

Cech

Azpi Cahill Terry Cole

DavidLuiz Mikel

Moses Mata Hazard

Ba

Oscar to come on at half time or so, depending on the situation to freshen up our attack.

Won't happen but i think it would be worth a go.

Man City are the only team I have a pessimistic attitude towards. I think they're the only top team in the PL that have genuinely caused us problems in the last couple of seasons. I am more optimistic about us beating United or anyone else in the league than I am about us beating CIty tbh. Have been for a couple a seasons now.

It's going to take an off day from them for us to beat them me thinks. Hopefully Rafa rests plenty of players this thursday because we're going to have to be on our A game to beat these lot.

My team:

Cech

Azpi - Luiz - Terry - Bertrand

Mikel - Ramires

Mata - Oscar - Hazard

Ba.

We need Mikel and Ramires and midfield simply because we get high energy and counter attacking abilities from Ramires whilst also having a solid holding midfield player in Mikel. We need a combative midfield against City. I can see why people want a Mikel - Luiz pivot but you don't leave Ramires out of games like these.

Totally Agree...

City is a completely different kettle of fish and it links in to their midfield domination, something which the other 3 "big" teams we face don't have.

United have great strikers, but a poor Central midfield and shaky defence.

Tottenham have Bale, but don't possess great strikers, and only have an ok cm and defence

Arsenal have Carzorla and wilsher but nobody who will take the game by the scruff of the neck, and are ok elsewhere.

City however have Tevez and aguero in AM positions, their equivilant of mata and hazard, crucially have Yaya Toure in CM who just dominates in there and that is where the real problem lies.

They have a great attack to with Sergio aguero, but when we compare teams, everywhere we match up pretty well except in that CM position where Yaya, just owns it.

I would honestly much rather play United again than play city and its not even close for me...

Don't want to be negative but City's performance tonight provide more reasons why the chances of us winning this Sunday is rather low. Will be too powerful, physical and fresher for us to deal with. And our recent performances and results against City are not giving much optimism either.

Totally agree, unfortunately! (agreeing with a bieber fan? Pfft)

Ctiy is still the best team in their day, they just cant have those amazingly luck wins Utd always have...
