Theres a difference being ambitious and selfish. He wants to be a regular starter for the club as a center forward and that can only be achieved if he scores plenty of goals.Once this is achieved,I am sure he will be a great team player.

He changed the game tonight with Welbeck. Should have got an assist after a good cross ended right at Welbeck's feet but he missed somehow. Stretched the defence on the left a couple of other times and when he moved in field he did well keeping the play going. He was actually played behind the striker. He even made an excellent pass for Bertrand to head back into the box for the penalty to be won. And for Lampard to score. Chelsea bail out England :-)

Sturridge really isn't as selfish as many here make him out to be.

People have built up an image of Sturridge being some sort of narcissistic, egotistical villain. Don't understand why, when it was clearly his duty to have the creative freedom (AVB) to shoot instead of pass.

Nah, he's just shit, and the avb comment is just LOL.

Won't you at least attempt to expand on this or will you just keep making derogatory comments that aren't true?

Already have numerous times, as they say been their done that and worn the T-shirt, and people still continue their almost brainwashed like backing of him to the bitter end. (or until the played shit again i mite add or the papers turn on him)

If your that interested tho go back a few pages and find why i think he's awful.

Nice to see him FINALLY get a few minutes as a striker. Should probably start against Stoke. We need to give him a chance to show what he can do and he's played well in pretty much every match he's played this season (with us and with England).

He looked better than Torres as he came on. He looked lively and I don't think he even shot once while he was on. He even layed off passes and didn't overdribble. :o Of course that may have all been because he was fresh. We'll have to see what he plays like when he starts and gets tired. He could get complacent as well. Realistically he won't start against Juve so should against Stoke.

10mins all game and he made them count. liked the cross he made with outside left foot nearly reached rambo/moses (i think). i dont see why RDM kept torres in game, he was just frustrated and the fact we got juve midweek was not very smart in my eyes to keep him that long.
