Jase 43,479
Can't see us selling Sturridge off at this stage of the transfer window and leave us with just Torres. We'll be basically shooting ourselves in the foot if we do that. Teams will then just hike the price of their striker that we want as they know we would be desperate to get one in. We have done extremely well with our transfer purchases so far and I don't see us doing something as silly as that right now. IF we do want to sell Sturridge, then get in a replacement first before selling. That said, want to see us have 3 STs as options rather than just 2. BlueLion. 21,491
15-20 million is a great deal. I'd take it, personally. All he's shown to us so far is that he had one great year in 2011- at Bolton and with us. That's not enough to justify 20 million, if we can wring that, it would be great. All we have to do is recall Lukaku/make a Pizarro style signing and we're set. Moses can play as a striker as well. What, Liverpool signed Downing, Henderson and Carroll on the basis of about four good games each, and you'd settle for £15 million for Sturridge? THAT is Anfield Logic.

TorontoChelsea 4,064
I have not seen anything from him to suggest he can be a great player, but good sure - the type that can get 15-20 odd goals in the league. But that's just my opinion, and like you said, who knows, he might turn out better than that.15-20 goals a season in the Premier League every year IS a great player. Look at Torres. We all talk about his track record and he hit the 15-20 goal mark exactly twice in the Premier League. Rooney has gone 15+ goals in a season 3 times, Van Persie, twice. Wavy Crockett 190
he should recieve a decent amount of games, 2nd choice as CF and should still be 1st/2nd as RW imo
YouNameIt 1,511
How can you guys totally just write this guy off? Last season he had 41 appearances: 13 goals and 7 assists. And he played out of position. He played in friggin Bolton, 12 appearances and 8 goals. I have absolute faith that he would shine as CF. The facts and statistics are on his side. What arguements are you guys using writing him off? Because you've created an imagination that Danny is an ignorant, disrespecful and careless guy? I think you couldnt be more wrong! RedWhite&BLUE 37
He's going to be extremely important to us during the run of CL group stage matches. There will be a ton of playing opportunities for him in those months. zolayes
