Eden Hazard

I hope we find a manager who can get the best out of him and turn him into a world class player(not that he isn't one) but still has some distance to travel in terms of consistency. He can't  have one brilliant season and one season  where he is invisible on the pitch.

The latest interview will make PSG surely go after him, I say place a price tag of 100mil. :D

Every player I thought who would become a legend at Chelsea have left (Lukaku, Mata, Luiz, KDB )  and he is not going to be any exception. Hazard already said he wants to win Champions League and if  we are not in the top 4 there is no way he is going to stay back.

Sell him for tank loads of cash, build the attacking side of the team around Willian and Costa. If he wants to gob shite about playing for PSG, Madrid or his fucking idol Zidane then fucking ship him out.

Had enough of his shite performances and his chatter in the press.....Jog on lad.

These Belgians have an awful PR ability. It seems they cannot handle an interview without giving all sort of ammunition to journalists. And that is not the first time it happens ; every time we play these Qatari he does the same mistake. The Board truly needs to forbid him to give interviews in those kind of situations.

Exactly. Courtois, KdB, lukaku and Hazard are all guilty of giving the media ammunition against Chelsea.

They should get a PR manager ASAP

Maybe it's me ?

i just think it's too easy to fall into the trap of believing media stories. It's all about context - and any quote taken out of context can look bad!

We as a forum are always super harsh on players. Yes, he's not had the best of seasons, but nobody, except Willian has. He's also picked up some nibbling injuries and does look devoid of confidence.

Maybe we should show these media outlets the credence they deserve - ignore them and let them wither and die.

that said I did expect more from Eden last night, please let him find some form in the next 3 weeks, I want to see him running at defenders with pace again and trying to score

Although he's underperforming (like the rest of the team by the way), it still absolutely baffles me how easily players are going from Hero to Zero in football these days.

Last year: "the star of the team, loved by all and the 'so long waited for' talented superstar Chelsea was blessed to have... bringing in the EPL Title!!This year: "we don't like him anymore... throw him away". As if it was a toy doll or a used matchbox car!!

It's probably just me... but I feel like football fans have absolutely no respect/patience anymore for the humans (that's right, there not toy robots) they are watching every week! Also no one seems to think (not even a split second):  "maybe the problem is not 100% Eden himself.. but also some internal struggles in the club/board/staff/private life/injuries/ or whatsoever...."

Just throw him out Cobham... Booh him away on the bridge. Say goodbye to one of the best football players on this planet and just give him a kick in the back when he's leaving! 3 years of hard work, highlights, trophies, emotions, being the guy he lighted up the bridge with almost every single touch, etc... all forgotten in a few months!

Bravo Chelsea Fans!

Going way over the top. You can't berate other users for being fickle and long-term memory challenged, and then go and write this mush. It is near impossible to be worse than El Torrid was at his worst, you'd have to be a blind farmer to be worse than he was.

You don't think Oscar is blind, do you??

I agree that Torres was HORRIBLE, BUT, seriously, Hazard this season has been worse than any season Torres played here.

Hazard scored 1 goal(penalty) and gave .. what? 2 maybe 3 assist? Defenders have better stats than that.

He isn't even dribbling past players and organizing the attack, he literally is doing nothing.

This guy is so talented but has a mindset of a 5 year old bullied school kid.

I'm trying to come to terms with what I have actually just read.

Maybe the grass is a little long for him at SB or the London water isn't purified enough....I'm just trying to add things you may of missed.

Hazard needs more love than he gets from some of the fans...

I find it hypocritical for the same people to diss Hazard, and reserve special praise for Mata.

Let's not forget, when the chips were down for Mata under Mourinho, he was the one who didn't bother to stay and fight for his place or try to improve his poor form at the time. He was the one who actually left in the middle of a season, and that too when there was a chance to fight for the title.  Not Hazard.

Just because he has never had a prolonged bad spell, or because he writes a blog about how he likes the fans of the club, I don't see why he should be put on a higher pedestal. And unlike Hazard, he has never driven the team to go and win a league title.

In case anyone is curious, I'm a big fan of the Spaniard and am very grateful for his time here..., but if he can get special rounds of applause every time he sets foot in Stamford Bridge, then Hazard deserves as much if not more.

Hazard does get more stick in cyberspace than at the ground, thats a fact.

As for Mata he was at the Who gig at the weekend  #one of us :cig:

It's only baffling when the player in question is hazard. Costa got so much slack at the begging of the season, no one cared. Mourinho, Matic and ivanovic also. No one protected these players.

I for one can't wait for him to be sold so you lot of plastics can go aswell.

Lmao Saitama with the one punch kill!

If he can perform like a superstar for 3 seasons, and then starts to struggle with even going past one defender... You probably have 2 options:

  • he cannot play soccer anymore
  • he's struggling with something

The easiest solution for the masses is to say he sucks and he can fuck off... Like a lot of Football Einsteins on here are claiming here on the forum. Bravo for that, you clearly are masters of wisdom!!

Others (that at least had some education) start doubting his attitude and his mental strength OR the willingness to fight for the team.

I can follow this last group. Maybe indeed it's the fact that Eden is not strong enough mentally or is a spoiled brat. BUT why was he good enough to be fight for the club the last three seasons... but not anymore?

  • Maybe he's just injured, but not given rest... simple as that!
  • Maybe he has issues with Hiddink, the board, club Doctor...
  • Maybe the whole Mourinho or Carneiro Saga is not so easily forgotten by the players as everyone thinks.
  • Maybe he's angry with the club for whatever good personal reason
  • Maybe he's just going down with the bad form of the team... => which probably makes most sense!
