If he really wants to leave then sell him. He has been terrible all season and seems like he's lost interest in playing here. Quality player when he's up to it but his performances say otherwise lately.

Ronaldo, messi, Neymar, Suarez, bale, Robben are all better players than Hazard. He has the quality to be at their level but he doesn't seem to be improving here at the moment.

If if we sell him we must have a quality replacement lined up, no panic buying

It would be a dick move from Hazard to leave the sinking ship as he is responsible too. 100 million pounds is a of money though.. If we used that money wisely it could be a great deal.

U could get Teixeira stones embolo with that £100m

Wonder whose fault is that when our playing style in recent years has been more pragmatic than anything else...?

Plenty of gossip linking him with RM and Bale being available. Utd allegedly after Bale as well so Hazard offered would probably swing it our way. Hazard  obviously isnt happy, maybe its the physicality and challenges of the PL, and the amount hes fouled. Bale is more accustomed to our league on that score.

Really comes down to Hazard's attitude. If he's done with Chelsea there's no point in keeping a disgruntled player...he'll never live up to his potential if the drive to succeed at the club is not present. If however he's still on board then in no way should Hazard be sacrificed. Plenty of other players to unload if need be.

If Hazard wants to join Real Madrid only because of Zidane, then he better think twice because knowing Perez, he could easily sack Zidane at any time - even when he's lost only 3 times in 25+ games! If that happens, then what?

On another note, given that we're unlikely to play in the Champions League next season, not sure if we're in a position to discuss any swap deal with Madrid (unless we're talking about getting an average player in return). Might fetch a good fee in return though if we just sell him since he signed that new contract not too long ago. Re-investing the money in new players might be difficult as which top player would want to join a club without Champions League football?

One year out of the champions league isn't that big of a deal when you look at the immense wages and the allure of London. We may have to pay a little more in wages but I don't think one year out of the competition will impact us greatly

Hazard is at a crossroads in his career. Either he starts reproducing last years form or he could be put in the category of not fulfilling his potential. Just hasn't been the same player this season which is not surprising seeing as he virtually carried us to the title. So our best player is off form and we are struggling badly coincidence?. If we were offered £100 million for him it's a no brainer we have to take it. It's investing it wisely that's the problem that Spurs and Liverpool have found out to their cost.

While I agree with you to some extent, I think a half-season of poor form is not long enough to dismiss such a high quality player. He has to be given time under new management to find his way. If in January next year he still hasn't recovered...then yes...I would sell.

We don't really need the money, we need interest from high end talented players. If we can't attract the players to play here the money means nothing

Well with no European football next year we are going to have to make up the deficit somehow. The days of Chelsea buying the best players are over. Better get used to the Cuadrado, Salah type players coming we are not dining at the top table at least for a season. There is no way we would turn down 100 million quid for Hazard the same as Man City wouldn't turn down the same for Aguero.

I don't think the deficit for missing European football is as great as it once was, the tv deal kicks in and that alone will help alleviate some of the financial burden. What we need to be worried about is does a year out of the champions league mean we can't attract the right players? I don't think it will, we may have to pay more wages but I doubt anyone who knows anything about Chelsea will turn down the club because they aren't in the Champs league for a year.

100m is a lot of money and I would definitely sell and re-invest it into two 50m players or a 70m and a 30m/60m and a 40m. Any combination of that would be deadly imo.

Well if Barca or Madrid come calling no player is not going to have his head turned at the very least. As for who would come in if we get 100 million quid there's the problem. The very best players are taken and then the next tier will only come if we pay shit loads of money for them. If Hazard stays who will we be able to attract? It's not like 2003 and with our recent piss poor record who comes in the Summer is crucial. If the likes of Pappy Unpronounceable and Michael Hector are the sort of quality we can attract then we are in the muck and the mire.

Wow... Give me a break please. Michael hector is a prospect. Djilobodji was bought to make up numbers on the cheap. We couldn't get stones and didn't want to spend big on secondary targets. Why is that so hard for people to comprehend?
