Cesc wouldnt play for another team in England. Among countless others. At the end of the day if Real dont go for him because they get Neymar and PSG did offering huge transfer fee and huge money I wouldnt be surprised. I think he will be gone regardless. Doesnt have to be Real. Could be Bayern, could be Barca, could be PSG could be Juventus. Who knows. You have to look at the person's character, the things they care about, and their situation. Fabregas' and Courtois situations are unbelievably different. Fab apparently wanted to go back to Arsenal before he joined us but they didn't want him (him and ozil in the same team would be an absolute nightmare as a coach). Fab wanted to play and challenge for titles, and we were a perfect fit for that. Courtois wanted to move for his kids, and he was always a turd. He didn't grow up in madrid, he was simply on loan there for a few seasons.Hazard on the other clearly absolutely loves Lille. He's said previously he doesn't want to go to another french team and that he has already played in the french league so he doesn't want that experience again soon. Haz is a really good human too. He also obviously only has eyes for Real if he leaves. If he's going to disrupt his family and life here, he's doing it for his childhood dream. The huge wages don't hold up here either. Yeah, maybe he'd make a little more there than here, but it's clear hazard isn't after money. The man has his priorities straight.Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk Hamilton

Cesc loved Arsenal.... Courtois loved Atletico, Torres loved Liverpool... Ashley Cole loved Arsenal.... countless players have done it in the past and players will do it still. Good character or not. If it came down to leaving Chelsea (which I think is 100% what he has decided to do) and only PSG made a move do you think hed say na? No chance, we are looking at no CL football next season again potentially. Realistically he could go anywhere. Good character or not, weve seen enough of it in modern day football to know that loyalty is totally different to what it was 20 years ago. Would be absolutely naive to think he would 100% not go to Paris just because "he loves Lille".

I agree that things like this have happened and will continue to happen, and that loyalty isn't what it used to be. But like I said, it is not just because he loves Lille. There is so much more behind it, which I explained in my previous post. And yes, I honestly believe that if PSG is the only club that comes in for him, he would say no. His interviews and attitude and character and care for his family and honestly his lack of drive at times all point towards that. I think he cares more about enjoying football and life than winning all the time (I find this refreshing, although a better middle ground would be ideal). And it's clear in his mind that is either here or Madrid. Madrid have their backup set. They will get their replacement either this or that. I feel that the reason Hudson Odoi was not sold by Chelsea in this window despite receiving a superb bid ... we are trying to create a safety net of our own. Like I mentioned earlier this is going to be a long summer saga ... And for me both ways is a win-win. kc_blue

BlueLion. 21,491
He'll be off in the summer, but with another anonymous performance when the team need him most, I'm not sure it'll be to the likes of Real Madrid. I can't fault his effort tonight, but you need your leaders, your best players, to bring the fire in shitty situations like tonight. He tried, but failed to produce anything in 90 minutes.

Blue Armour 4,439
Hazard may not be the leader everyone hopes for...but just consider this,.. From a Chelsea team that boasted as many as 6 national team captains playing together at one point...we only have one on the team right now. And that's Eden. Very reflective of what's actually happening on the pitch these days,..IMO Sideshow Luiz and Atholy
mccg 1,528
Reports: Real Madrid not keen on signing Eden Hazard https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/reports-real-madrid-are-not-keen-on-signing-eden-hazard?key=newsnow It is now likely that Eden Hazard will remain at Chelsea next season, rather than join Real Madrid, in light of the Premier League club's transfer ban. Unable to sign a replacement until the summer of 2020, Chelsea will not sanction the Belgian's sale. (Marca)

Abreu03 292
What a player.  "Chelsea will be better off without it." WTF  The worst part is still having to read that kind of thing. There are certain fans who will only value when he leaves Chelsea (I hope never). Hazard, and to a slightly less extent, Kante, are the only two players on this Chelsea squad that can be compared to players from Drogba and Lampard's time. If they both leave, we will be joining Arsenal to look hopefully at top 4. Johnnyeye
