Ronaldo didn't have so impressive numbers in PL. Everything changed in LaLiga. Who knows maybe the same happen with Hazard. I'm speaking just about numbers they were both amazing in PL of course. I'm sure Messi's numbers would drop in PL.Β

Nah Ronaldo scored like 90 goals in all comps in his last 3 seasons at United (66 PL goals out of those). His numbers were already improving and they did so more at Real. Even at Real his first season was 33 goals in 35 games. Then the next 6 seasons he scored over 50. I think he would of managed to score 30-40 in the PL if he stayed still. I dont think Eden will ever be that prolific.

Hazard will refuse to sign a new contract at Chelsea, even if the club decide to play hardball with Real.Β (Telegraph)

With all these incessant reports about Hazard, some times I wonder if the media are just really desperate for Hazard to leave Chelsea.

I still think ifΒ he goes there, huge fee, superstar wages the lot, he will be seen as a direct replacement for Ronaldo. And yes he will struggle to make such an impact as Ronaldo managed to. I see him making a similar impact to Bale more than anybody else tbf and to beΒ honest Bale has done reasonbly well for Real so wouldnt be all too bad but I really think their fans and the Spanish media will see him as a Ronaldo replacement and expect him to try and make the difference up. Even Bale who has done very well there, having a goal every 2nd game basically, scoring in finals, winning a lot has endured a mixed reaction from theirΒ fans and the media so it wont be plain sailing. Its 100% happening though, although I wonder if Barca would be willing to rival them for him I think hed suit them better.

Kinda want the transfer ban to stick, just to see how will things play out.Β

The grass isn't always greener!

I feel the same. I can understand Hazard having that urge to play there if it's been a lifetime goal/dream of his but they are a squad in need of a serious rebuild. They've lost their best player and as you said they will view Hazard as his replacement and Hazard is no Ronaldo. Other key players such as Marcelo, Ramos, Modric, Kroos, Bale and Benzema are in serious decline and need replacing. For Hazard personally this is coming at the worst time and regardless of the quality of their squad, those fans are probably the most demanding and impatient in world football.

With the mentality that he portrays I do believe there is still part of him that has doubts over this move. We may be in a rebuilding stage ourselves but he's idolised at this football club, with him and his family well settled and kept private. I don't think he's currently there yet, but if he were to stay and play the remaining best years of his career here, I do believe he would be on that level as a Chelsea legend that the likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba are.Β

If we are to have a ban I'd rather we have it now whilst we're in a state of transition anyway than defer it. It would give Sarri potentially an extra year to get this style to work (if he stays)Β and some of our loan and young players potentially a chance to stake a claim, before we can buy players again and go big if required.

I feel that would be the worst outcome. Sarri can't implement his 'style of play' with the current lot. We have and we are seeing that. If we keep sarri, we will need to get players (specially a striker) who suits his requirement. If Luiz leaves, we will need a cb who can fill in those shoes, my preference would be ake

Β Most importantly we need to sell the likes of willian and Pedro, and get wingers who do what is asked off them (stick to the touch line) rather than crowding the center.Β

It's almost imperative that sarri gets a transfer window if he is getting another year. Else it will be the same old drivel that we have seen this season sans hazard.Β

Life is fucked up when the players fans would like to see stay want to go (e.g. Hazard) but the players that fans would like to see leave want to stay (e.g. Willian).Β <_<

We are just not used to it. Since 2003 we've been one of Europe's best team, wages are high so our best players rarely want to quit.

Just ask Dortmund fans.. Their best players keep signing for their biggest rival. Atletico Madrid too.

We have only really so far had two players want to leave and both times they were to Madrid (a fate even United regularly suffer).Β All our players (and AVB/Mourinho)Β who went to a rival went because we deemed them dispensable, not the other way round.

Thats because our level right now is Willian and not Hazard.

Glad to see him publically say this regarding Sarri. Maybe because hes said some people will soften up on Sarri a bit.
