Controversial thought - if the transfer ban sticks, keep Hazard and sell Willian/Pedro. Let Hazard run down the contract and see if Real will still be interested this time next year and want to buy a 29-year-old.

Similar view popped up on BBC...

Was that his best individual display in a Chelsea shirt? Even by Hazard's standards that was god-like stuff.

He had a lot of god like performances. Chelsea fans just do forget how many times he had those. In Mou´s second season and first Conte season, he always played like that. He is just the greatest Chelsea player of all time. He ist he closest thing to Messi and Ronaldo out there

Unfortunately, it's now quite clear that Hazard is off to Madrid.
Was a real pleasure to have him here at Chelsea and EPL.
Not sure if we will ever have a player of his quality ever again at Chelsea. [emoji20]
If the ban doesn't get overturned, I can see him seeing out his contract.

What is £100m~ when you can't do anything with it for 12 months?

The only ones I;ve seen that can match that are Everton at home and Sunderland away. I put this in his top 3 for sure and it has a valid argument for top 1. Just in terms of level of performance.

It wouldn't matter. him fucking off, if we had the calibre of other players in previous seasons. Kovacic and Jorginho never score let alone make assists whereas in the past we could rely on a regular 20 goals a season from one midfielder, Lampard.

Mm, maybe keep the 100M pounds and spend it next year?

No fucking way this happens. We will either make him sign a new contract or sell him. 100 million is too much money, we won't throw it away in the window.

Just look at the stats above. There's no chance someone steps up with similar numbers, so we don't know what predicament we'll be in next season.

Struggling to finish 4th WITH him.

Yeah, it will be tough withouth him, no doubt in that, but for 100M pounds we can buy a long term replacement of him or we can spend it on our weak points - LB, striker.

If this break up must happen then we better get that money for him. The club is run by businessmen I am sure we won't let him go for free.

He could do us a favour and renew, with an agreement in place. I'm all for the inevitable, but it has to suit both parties.

Not to mentioned RM's current situation.
