We will either make him sign a new contract or sell him. 100 million is too much money, we won't throw it away in the window. I know 100 million is a lot but there is no guarantee we will spend wisely with that money as seen with buying Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Zappacosta etc. LAM09, Fernando, Johnnyeye and 2 others

But still it's more likely than substitute Hazard from 0 pounds. We have many old players - Giroud, Pedro, Willian, David Luiz. They will leave soon and we won't recieve too much money for them, so we'll need that Hazard money.

Superblue 6,372
Phenomenal tonight and hopefully he's picking up and hitting some key form at a crucial part of the season. If we lose him next season with a transfer ban it'll be a rough year as we're limited to what we can do. However even with a transfer window in the summer, I've said previously it's foolish for the club to think we can go out and replace him because we can't. There isn't another player available capable of the creativity that he provides. If we have to sell we need to invest the money in other areas of the squad the same way Liverpool did when they sold Coutinho (specifically buying Van Dijk and Alisson). We need two new full backs and a striker, that's where the Hazard money should go towards investing. A 20 goal striker would mean we're not looking for one of our wide players to put up similar numbers, and two full backs capable of getting up and down the pitch will provide more width and create more chances than our current full backs at present. It's a case of trying to share out some of the workload that Hazard currently does for the team on his own, rather than expecting to bring someone in who will take up that mantle. communicate and Supermonkey92
!Hazard! 3,394
I'm already prepared and ready to accept that he's gonna leave but surely we're not gonna sell the third best player in the world for only £85m? Johnnyeye 7,579
props to Hazard, the bastard is unplayable at times and its a joy to watch, could have had a hattrick against the Hammers, he can be ruthless when he's on his groove, shame he can't be even more consistent otherwise he would be ranked alongside Messi and Ronaldo. I will gutted if he leaves there is no denying it, players like him are rare these days, can he be the greatest Chelsea player ever? if he stays then hell yes he can. ulsterchelsea and kellzfresh
whats happening 1,660
im just afraid that if we refuse to sell him against his will, that he will be a negative value on the pitch with his bad attitude. and then we will regret not selling him. Vesper 31,037
Matt Law's Chelsea briefing Decision time for Eden Hazard By Matt Law Football News Correspondent Eden Hazard, the game master (Credit: Reuters) Eden Hazard has so far treated his Chelsea future like a game and the Belgian has played it pretty well. But the game is now getting serious, with Real Madrid wanting to secure his signature before the summer, and Hazard may soon have to accept that he cannot continue to be everybody’s friend. Hazard has done a brilliant job of keeping the Chelsea fans, and hierarchy on his side, while making it clear he wants to join Real. It has been striking that a large banner with Hazard’s face on it continues to get passed around one end of Stamford Bridge, despite his refusal to commit himself to the club. He cannot expect such adulation at the Bernabeu. Not many players would get away with effectively giving owner Roman Abramovich an ultimatum, but that is exactly what Hazard did before last season’s FA Cup final when he claimed he wanted to find out which type of players Chelsea would keep and sign before deciding on his future. Abramovich and Chelsea did not even get angry when, a few months later, Hazard confirmed the time might be right to leave the club after Belgium’s World Cup journey had come to an end. The club had no intention of selling Hazard last summer and, to the forward’s credit, he did not sulk or try to force his way out. Instead, he kept smiling and embarked on what may well prove to be his best personal campaign in a Chelsea shirt. As star players go, Hazard is incredibly low maintenance. He did not use an agent to negotiate his last contract and likes to speak personally with director Marina Granovskaia, so that his thoughts cannot be misinterpreted. Hazard has never scored 20 goals in a season at Stamford Bridge, but he is well on course to do so in what he hopes will be his farewell campaign. There have been times when it has looked like he is playing for himself, rather than the good of the team, but nobody can question his numbers. The 28-year-old appears to have enjoyed keeping the media, the Chelsea fans and Abramovich on a piece of string as he has laughed his way through questions on his future, keeping all avenues open and never really committing to either outcome. But Chelsea now know Hazard has no intention of signing an extension to his contract that expires in 2020 and Real are fully aware that he is desperate to move to Madrid. Negotiations over his fee are in full swing and it may well come down to Hazard publicly stating his desire to give both clubs the final push to find an agreement. That would be a tough decision for the player, but he cannot continue to straddle two horses. It is time to settle on one and with his choice already made, it will soon be time to make sure the Chelsea fans hear it from him. Yup, losing hazard is a blow but since there are so many flaws in our squad, investing the money on really good fb and striker can actually improve our team. It is a dangerous game also. Look at Spurs when they sold Bale, a lot of guys flopped. Same with Liverpool selling Suarez. I would hope we will do better but has to be seen. I honestly think Callum and Christian should be given a big chance next season and the money be invested, if we overturn our transfer ban, in a striker, another winger to compete with them 2 as I think one of Pedro or Willian will go, a LB and another offensive minded MF player because Kovacic and Barkley have disappointed and we could do with quality to compete with RLC who has probably moved ahead of Ross and Kova for that position. Sarri said he wants to sign Kovacic too and apparently there is a clause to sign him (hopefully to play more as a 6 or rotation for Kante as opposed to more advanced) as well as Higuain coming out saying he would like to stay I think those 2 will be signed 100% if it is possible. NikkiCFC 8,516
What if it's between Hazard or Odoi? I don't think Callum is planning to play on RW for the next couple of seasons. What is better? Losing 28 and a half years old Hazard or 18 yo academy kid with potential to be top5 player in the world in 2,3 years?

NikkiCFC 8,516
Ronaldo didn't have so impressive numbers in PL. Everything changed in LaLiga. Who knows maybe the same happen with Hazard. I'm speaking just about numbers they were both amazing in PL of course. I'm sure Messi's numbers would drop in PL.
