But definitely agree on the larger point - we're hopeless at converting chances! You mentioned the group stages, so I just pointed out that we got the better of this usually stubborn team. Only ourselves to blame in the home game and winning it would have potentially given us a quarter final berth but nothing else.We would have fallen against Barca a stage later Johnnyeye
Special Juan 28,141
Oblak magnificent as most of us already knew, swap him for the Belgian pretender. And that was the most typical Arsenal performance you will ever see. Johnnyeye
Johnnyeye 7,501
Oblak was simply immense, that save from Ramsey's header at the end tough, Oblak grew wings right there, it was sick. I felt the ref was a cunt to Atletico, sending Vrsaljko off just after 10 mins, and also Arse players diving everywhere to try and influence the ref, altough Arsenal had the much better chance, in the end it came back to bite them in the ass when a fk was not given to Arsenal before Atletico's equalizer, thats all they needed to score an away goal. the Marseille gk made some sick saves against Salzburg to keep a clean sheet, immense too, still all to play for in the 2nd leg

Pizy 18,897
While Real Madrid can raise their game every now and again and are always a huge threat when their attacking players get the ball, they're being ripped apart by Bayern who simply look the better team. Bayern look as though they could score with every attack. I know Real are deploying a winger at RB but it's still been effortless for Bayern. For me, Liverpool's attacking and pressing would cause huge problems for Real Madrid. Bayern would be the much tougher matchup which is why I want them to win here. Jase 43,479
FML! Real Madrid have like 999 lives, don't they? They keep getting away with it in the Champions League. No way that defence is gonna survive Liverpool's attack in the final.
Laylabelle 9,534
Nope. We know how it's gana go.. Then again Liverpool are a bit shite defence wise but going forward... Or they'll win on pens.. Either way it's gana be shite
Magic Lamps 11,692
if Liverpool are to replicate only half of their performance vs City or Roma, they will smack Real up and completely humiliate their holey defence. Remember this was a bayern team without some of their best players. lets hope liverpool keep their players fit for the final that is the only chance real have

BlueLyon 9,359
Muller and Lewa were crap in both legs. Lewa was decent in linkup, but he was nowhere to be found threatening real defence. If Bayern had Robben instead of Muller, they would won the game IMO. On side note, Im getting sick of Real always getting away with it, I dont mind Pool winning it at all. Most of their fans are idiots indeed, but the team deserves it the way they played so far, credit where its due. communicate

communicate 2,703
This real team may go to the final 3 straight years and may won it 3 times, but it is difficult to say that they are a great team Johnnyeye

Johnnyeye 7,501
just saw the highlights of the game and i must say Bayern should have burried their chances, they battered Madrid most of the game and in end they payed dearly for their mistakes, their GK howler was decisive and at this level is costly, and missing clear chances, and when you do it against a team like Real you pay for it sooner or later, and Real were clinical when it mattered, you can say Ronaldo missed a sitter to make it 3-1 on the night, but Bayern should have done much better, they choked simple, many credit to Navas and Real's defense when the going got really tough. One thing im looking forward to is how Liverpool will deal with Madrid's midfield ( i just dont see Roma overturning this tie), there is a huge gap in quality between both teams in midfield and that for me will be the decisive factor i think; Milner, Henderson and co is no match for Modric, Casemiro, Isco and Kroos and the main threat for Liverpool is Salah, with Firmino and Mane in support, but who knows what can happen in a final.
