killer1257 3,282
Hm,let´s see if Jose wants to give him more chances.Ruben delivered just as I expected from him,but Jose is Jose,so let us see when he will get his next chances. He should be given a chance against Arsenal, but Jose will most likely not give him the chance he deserves because likes experienced players. BlueLyon 9,359
I know it was bad opposition but today it was the first time for me in a long long time that I got a feeling one of our youth players could actualy make it. The feeling that we actualy have young english player who could stick here for decade.RLC has a long long way to go, needs massive improvement and work hard, not to mention there is about 10% chance that Mou will be giving him enough play time, but still. There is finaly realistic hope for one of our own. Hopefuly Im not overhyping the whole thing. If we didnt play so shit recently, there is big chance Rlc would play 5mins this season, but here we are, he is actualy playing. If and that is a big IF RLC makes it here, the so called disastrous start could be one of the most beautiful things that happend to us in recent years. He will play bad too and he will have shit games that will cost us the result. But he will have good games too and hopefuly Mou aswell as fans will be patient enough.I dont know about you guys, but I would love to see our own lad, english on top make it here, its been bloody long time since the last one made it, 17years is too long. The Skipper 20,609
He's built on his performance/cameo against Crystal Palace where myself and quite a few around me at the Bridge thought he did great. Keep it going Ruben. Blue_Fox_
Hybrid Angel 2,130
Play him alongside Matic against Arsenal. He will give the defensive quality Fabregas can't provide and the attacking quality Mikel/Ramires can't. We have too many players who can do this but can't do that. Ruben is built to do everything. He is only 19. He is the jewel of our club. stroey, kellzfresh and roba3y
quickpassnmove 924
I'm going to be happy to see RLC make more starts. Will be very happy seeing him get time to settle into the CM as a starter. Desperately needed at this club along with better fullback play.Would also be great to see Traore on the pitch with his excellent finishing ability and LEFT FOOT on the RW. Leif 6,006
i'd say this was his first good game for us and i'd also say he'll likely never play against such weak opposition again, unless he goes back to playing U21 football. i feel like this is hyping Torres after scoring vs. Wolverhampton or someone. Peace. and ja1

He could have disappeared, but he gave it his all. The guy doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with Torres, what the fuck. I feel this game was a big step in his development, because he took charge and wasn't afraid. You can only do your best against the opposition thrown at you and he did that.I agree, this is also the first time I feel that there is a chance for an academy player to break through. First I had it with McEachran, but the hype didn't last long. I can see characteristics in Ruben to suggest he has what it takes to make it, Josh got lost in fame and money. DH1988 1,348
Looked knackered 10 minutes before he came off, hopefully he can recover by Saturday to put a shift in, feel as though Matic-RLC is our best chance against Arsenal. If I see Matic and Fabregas lining up or Ramires together, switching the TV off.

El P. 1,354
It's time to integrate him in one of big, important games.Best option is to play him alongside Matić. But, what with others then? Ok, Pedro and Willian are out. I think it's worth trying to put Oscar on wing. He is not winger, but neither is Willian - not natural winger I mean, and he still played there. I would try with: Hazard - Fabregas - Oscar // Matić - RLCHere is for sure problem - lack of width. BUT, if we play Baba and Azpi, that width will be provided.Would kill to see this. killer1257, The Skipper, Despiadado.Maleante and 1 other
