borriske 330
Scored 1 and assisted 2 today against Stuttgart.9 assists this season in BL .Best player in BL thus far according to whoscored.comHmm... I have him at 7.Still, leading by a huge margin.http://www.espnfc.com/german-bundesliga/10/statistics/assists
johnnythefirst 1,076
Seven would be correct. And his mediocre team is now second in the league.Dortmund is almost last btw. Which is completely inexplicable if you saw how they played in the CL. They were 2 levels above Arsenal, left Anderlecht clueless at home and completely humiliated Galatasaray...So glad for him, if he keeps this up for this season and the next, he will really be ready for the next level... Kendrick 339
At that time I was pretty disappointed we sold him, I rarley doubt Mourinho and i stand behind his decisions 100%, but it seemed to me like it was personal between him and De Bruyne more than proffesional.Obviously today the team is working well and winning so who could argue it was a mistake, but everytime i check on him at the BL i can't hold myself from thinking "what if". I still think he has a place in our squad (we have Salah :\).Anyway, he's young and his future is bright.

SykikJV 146
Salah seems content to be a squad player, De Bruyne wasn't.That is indeed the difference. De Bruyne always has been a player who needs games to be at his best, a bit of a slow starter. He wasn't going to get those games at Chelsea last season so he chose to leave. A bit of a shame, because he fits this season's Chelsea's game perfectly and would have fitted in nicely with Hazard, Fabregas en Oscar. And a striker like Costa is ideal for someone like De Bruyne who can play every type of assists (through balls, crosses,...). But with the WC in mind, he never would have stayed an entire season playing only a few games now and then.Curious where he'll go next, because he won't stay for long at Wolfsburg. He's playing at top form at the moment and really made the number 10 position his own at Wolfsburg : 15 games, 8 assists, 4 goals. killer1257 and zolayes
ParNolio7 285
Yep, I really believe Mourinho misjudged his potential. The fact that he went to get Salah when De Bruyne was still at Chelsea speaks loads. Shame shame shame

The fact that he went to get Salah when De Bruyne was still at Chelsea speaks loads. Shame shame shameoh please! Jose sold him because KDB did not suit his system and also because the player did not want remain patient and fight for his place( which is nothing bad at all) because not everyone can be as understanding as Schurle. I am sure he was aware of his potential but chose to sell him because it was the best option for both parties. Why do you think he sold Mata? Every manager has their kind of philosophy and sadly KDB couldn't meet ours. There is no need of blaming Jose just because KDB is doing well.As for signing Salah, you can see the changes in his game. He constantly tracks back and is trying his best to impress his manager. Granted his performances haven't been great but I am sure he'll find some form. ParNolio7 285
There's only one reason why Wolfsburg have won 5 matches in a row and are currently in 2nd position: Kevin De Bruyne. He's been playing at worldclass level all season. From German newspaper Bild.
ParNolio7 285
because the player did not want remain patient and fight for his place I'm not looking to go into this discussion all over again. But there's a difference between being on the bench more than you like & not getting any chances at all, not even making the 18 in most matches, except for stupid league cup.In the second case, you really can't say a player is "unpatient" if he want to leave, "humiliated" is probably the better word. Especially for a player with the proven potential of KDB.Now that's the last - I promise - I will say about that, I don't care how many replies I get. lionsden
Beigl 1,387
Such a shame that he didn't have the attitude which is required at a top club. He is certainly not inferior to Schurrle or Willian who have been mediocre ever since they joined us. killer1257 and Mufassir08

The fact that he went to get Salah when De Bruyne was still at Chelsea speaks loads. Shame shame shameYou're wrong, he first sold KDB at the start of the window and then got Matic. At the end of the window Mata suddenly wanted to leave, which left us only with Oscar, Hazard, Willian and Schurrle for 3 positions. That's why he bought Salah, to replace a (left footed) attacking mid with another one.

It was Willian who was brought in moments after Mourinho called De Bruyne "a potential key player for this Chelsea". Salah was only in January. stroey
