I think we need primarily to sign 5 players for next season.

1. A TOP Centre-Back. My favorite would be Varane (Real Madrid). Also Varane also played with Jose Real Madrid as Right-Back. Obviously It would be just for emergencies, but for Jose is important to have versatile players.

2. A TOP midfielder. My favorite is Koke (Atletico de Madrid). A player like Fabregas, with many similar characteristics in quality, distribution of the ball and ability to organize a team with authority. Koke could be a perfect backup for Fabregas also able to play with him in a perfect midfield with Matic - Koke - Fabregas.

Maybe Pogba is a very risky option with an extortionate / unjustified price. Pogba has many extravagant features that make me doubt about his signing.

3. A replacement for Mikel. Jose is a major player when it comes to securing a result. But perhaps Mikel takes too much time with us and we need fresh air in our midfield.

At this point I think it's harder to find a player that accepts have the same role that Mikel has had with us. My favorites are Giannelli Imbula (Olympique de Marseille), Kondogbia (Monaco) or Javi Martinez.

A. Giannelli Imbula (Marseille). Perhaps the best option. Imbula has some characteristics between Mikel and Ramires. He is a player Box to Box but which defends very well with a great tactical sense. My favorite option.

B. Kondogbia (Monaco). More than Imbula defense. Maybe it is a more like Mikel player. A player capable of recovering many balls in midfield and distribute the ball with a sense but without risks. Kondogbia has an important physical deployment. An interesting option.

C. Javi Martinez. In Spain it is said that he can leave Bayern Munich this summer, but he just got out of an important knee injury. This option raises many doubts me.

But Jose has used this season Zouma in midfield with good results, although I think Zouma must be consolidated as our Centre-Back for the future because he is more likely to evolve as Centre-Back for his great performance.

4. A Centre forward. We need someone to cover the place of Didier Drogba (Didier will be working on the technical team Jose the following season). I think it's difficult to find a player who assume he comes with us to be backup of Diego Costa.

For example, last week a famous Spanish football program Lewandowski Always thought that was very close to signing for Real Madrid (I think this news is pure sensationalism). Lewandowski is a great player, but he would hardly accept to come with us to be behind Diego Costa. The same happens with Kane.

To me the options would be the following players.

A. Icardi (Inter). According to the reports say he is the favorite of Jose to replace Drogba. He is a good player, young, with great capacity to score goals and he is nine puree. An interesting option but a player who has had extrasport behavior problems.

B. Paulo Dybala (Palermo). A very similar to Kun Aguero player. Dybala is young (21) and is one of the players with more future. Reports say that many of the big teams in Europe are sticking by him. Reports say that his price is 45 million pounds, but this is crazy because his contract with Palermo ends in 2016, so its price would be much lower. A good project for the future that could be very interesting for us and our future.

C. Anderson Talisca (Benfica). I know that Talisca is not a specific forward but he has a espectacurales characteristics to be a Centre forward in the future. His natural position is offensive midfielder, but Jose commented that could be a big Centre forward in the future. Jose is a big fan of Talisca, including Jose said Talisca is not playing right now in England by passport issues but Jose says that Talisca has the level to be in England. I think Talista is a great option.

5. The Legend: Lionel Messi. It's now or never. Messi has had many problems in / with Barcelona in recent times and probably he will change his team this summer.

We have Fabregas, his best friend, and a coach like Jose Mourinho with whom has had many gestures of appreciation between both in recent months.

In Spain everyone (even the newspapers of Catalonia) assume that Messi is living his last days in Barcelona. Maybe if Barcelona won several trophies this season Messi could say goodbye to Barcelona through the front door.

Messi has been in London last week eating with Deco and Fabregas. Gradually Messi is giving signs that bind their future with us (Messi begins to follow on Instagram us, his good words for Jose, his visits to London with his girlfriend and his son, Messi has never categorically denied a possible signing for us ...).

Messi would suppose the consolidation of Roman´s project.

Messi is a historic opportunity for us. With the support of Adidas and other sponsors like Yokohama The dream of Messi is possible.

Well Ive got no idea on how Jose/Emenalo's minds work as far as transfers go and i gave up trying to think who will come and go ages ago cause im always wrong.

BUT i do know that we both need a couple of upgrades and also optoions for players we already have

We desperatly need alternatives for cescy and Matic. I wouldnt mind losing rami and Mikel but who would want them for the money we would need? But when either of them arent playing we seem lost. Theres many manes been mentioned and id be happy with most of them.

We need shot of Cahill. Hes had a pretty bad season ever since his knock in the head. I would donate my left dangley for varane, its my dream to see him and Zouma as our central defence.

Dont know what to say about oscar thats not been said. If he could stay like he was pre December then id say keep the lad but this pattern of apathy is getting monotonous.

We need to think too what will happen to players we have on loan performing well and how we can fit in the newly promoted lads from the academy next season.

And does Petr have a dog or something we can kidnap and ransom to him if he agrees to stay next year? im up for giving it ago if anyones willing.

I agree with RLC. I believe that we can reject signing Paul Pogba. Although I think it would continue to be required to sign Koke. For me RLC Pogba has similar features, so if we give minute RLC our team he can become more important than Pogba.

Instead, Koke is another type of player, much like Fabregas. This season we have seen Fabregas was too lonely in our midfield. If we signed Koke that Fabregas would help to better reach the second half of the season.

A midfield with Matic - Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Koke - Fabregas would give us many different possibilities.

About Patrick Bamford, I think he is very young (21 years old) and he is doing a great job with Middlesbrough. Instead, I think now we can not cut his progression. If Bamford come with us next season he would have a similar role to that Remy is having this season.

with an option to allow Bamford recombra and have the opportunity to demonstrate their performance in Premier League playing more than 30 games next season. That would be the best way to see their true performance in Premier League, England and with a coach (Aitor Karanka) having a similar mentality Jose.

If Bamford plays next season over 30 games between Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup maybe we can win a great player for the future.

I personally think we have to be calm with young boys. Now it appears that a player is already 22 years old, but it is not. Play for Chelsea is a big responsibility, if we cut the progression of Bamford having him on the bench waiting for a chance when Diego Costa this not having a good step, Bamford will probably cut his progression. However, one year in Middlesbrough could relaunch his career.

A similar case is Solanke. He has enormous potential, but only 17 years. I prefer to go step by step. To Bamford his first mission should be to show that he can have the performance that he had with Middlesbrough in Firt Division but now in Premier League next season.

Once again, great post. I do think we should go for a Koke type player. Not sure if Atleti would sell to us, but we do need another midfielder. Even if RLC does get games next season, it won't be many and not big games.

On Bamford, that makes sense. If Boro get promoted it would be perfect to send him back for the season, but I don't want the club to spend another £20m+ on a striker we have for a season.

We absolutely need a CB though, an atheltic, techincal CB. Someone like Varane, Martinez of Real Sociedad, or Boateng.

We still got a massive quality and creativity deficit in AM/RW despite having bought players for a good 150m for those positions. Most of those have struggling covering their offensive and defensive duties at the same time despite their hety pricetags. So why not simply recall some loansters and let them have a try. Especially Bertrand Traore. He appears to be a promising player and can still be formed. Honestly can't do worse than Willian.

BUT IT IS NOT going to happen ,, Lukaku did well on loan so has Bamford ,, so did Bertrand.

Ake stayed and has virtually no time in two years ,, Zouma came in ,,seemed to do do well but not trusted in our last two games .. If established players like Luis

and Remy are given chances then no way for players like Traore . THAT is the biggest shame of all
