So Liverpool have signed Lallana, Lambert, and Can so far with Markovic now seemingly done and Lovren likely. Just like Spuds, they've replaced one world class player with a bunch of average ones.

Have to say that I'm not sweating Liverpool at all. Much more concerned about Arsenal, City, and United than them. Don't think they get near the title next season.

To be fair, Spurs at least signed Erikson. Better than any of those guys^

Lambert - £4 million

Lallana - £25 million

Lovren - £20 million

Markovic - £25 million

Origi - £11 million

= £85 million

Markovic is talented but what I've heard he's very but inconsistent, Origi had a decent WC i thought, he seems good technically but is he ready for the PL? I'm not too sure tbh, he could be loaned back out. On paper it seems like a lot of money for those players but who knows what Rodgers has in mind.

Just smacks as Spurs & Bale.

So many of their supporters and even a bunch of media and journalists were saying things like "they got rid of a world class player in Bale but they may be an even better side because they're fortifying all of the holes that Bale masked."

That's how Liverpool fans will spin it.

Not really masking any holes though. Defense was their biggest and they still need a CB and LB. I guess they added depth. They're gonna get blown out in Europe.

With Suarez out, and depending what United does in the transfer window they might actually go the Tottenham way.

All those signings take some time to adjust, and with them doing CL it will hurt them in the PL.

It would be hilarious if they only sign one defender this summer (they need a complete overhaul in that position) and at the same time stock up on players in positions they are strong in.

I do hope Brendan sticks to his word about "only playing a certain way", imagine his philosophy of last season minus Suarez in the CL

"Defending is easy. Anyone can coach that."

Concedes ridiculous amount of goals last season.

Let's see how he gets on against the elite sides in Europe if they draw any in their group. Those sides aren't going to bend over and beg for more like Norwich.

Brendan will continue to get bent over by tactically astute managers who have teams on a level or better than his. Hes basically the second coming of Ossie Ardilles.

I will be shocked if he ever tastes victory against Mou or Van Gaal.

I'd like to see them play a side like Real Madrid or Bayern, or any of the elite sides. The sheer gulf in class between the lineups when the team sheets are released will be hilarious.

Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria, Benzema vs Lallana, Henderson, Gerrard, Sterling

They'd be shitting themselves.

Speaking of Gerrard every time I see them make a "my Xl for next season" Gerrard is still there as DM, even suggest Gerrard is past it and they go mental, I mean we accepted Lamps weren't the player he was, United did likewise with Giggs, it can't be that hard, can it?

We'll see the real Gerrard next season. Last season's was a facade. Played once a week and never had to be rotated. Let's see how he gets on with midweek fixtures and 3-4 competitions to compete in.

With Markovic probably coming. Alexis is off to Arsenal. Not good for us. Sanchez is a tremendous player and could also play in the CF position instead of Giroud. Hurts me too see him in their shirt.

He won't change their squad totally though. Plus they have Wegner and terrible health. They don't scare. Only City.
