KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
What makes you think that? Do you think Pep can just bring half Barca with him? What Ryan said. Run along now.
Strike 7,526
i'm sure we can manage to sign a cheaper player that can do the job in midfield. i read a link today that had Sergio Busquets and 30million GBP in the same sentence.his contract expires in 2015 - 2 years from this summer and Barca won't be keen to offload him unless we overpay.Joao Moutinho is a cheaper and better option imo or Axel Witsel if he tries to force his way out of Zenit. Able to fill the CM role although they are more attack minded than Sergio
communicate 2,703
Well he is just the greatest coach in Barca history and one of the greatest players to come through the ranks they've had so why would they pass up the chance to work with him again? I think if Pep does come, certain players that aren't attainable become attainable. Busquets could be one as could David Villa, Thiago, Sanchez, Pedro, a few of the Barca B players etc.Nah pep loves barca too much to do that and Thiago is xavi replacement
Eggman 118
I think Busquets is probably the most overrated player in the Barcelona squad.
BlueLyon 9,359
If we get Guardiola we can get Busquets, among other players.Players like Sanchez, Mascherano, maybe Villa could come, but he respects barca in all ways and wouldnt pay ridiculous fees to drag Pedro, Busquets, Inesta,...just to join Chelsea. If anything, how many barca players (that were products of lamassia) left the club in last ten years? Im speaking for those who have suceesed in first team, like Busquets, Xavi...not Krkic and such players. They have their own philosophy, they would never sell catalan players who are world class to anyone. All that Busquets talk is just bs...
Strike 7,526
in all this i doubt that Pep will even come to Chelsea. Recently i saw unconfirmed quotes that Barca players hate Chelsea more than even Real Madrid. that gets me thinking that Pep may not be interested in the Chelsea job at all. all this talk about the club rebuilding this summer maybe moot if Pep snubs us and joins City or something. Azpinator 2,325
Hell no. I don't care how good he is, he's too much of a cunt and it would be painful to see him wearing our jersey.

Credit to UTD - they have done this well over the past... Essentially with Terry/Lampard/Essien/Drogba missing we have ripped the spine out of the team, we need to get that steel and WINNING MENTALITY back...I would love us to sign a couple of really good, solid PRO's late 20's who have won things - it will definitely help the team... bababoom 4,478
Will Busquets continue to be a "top top player" now that the powers of Xavi and Iniesta are on the wane? He's been poor for about two seasons now, Busquets used to be the most underrated player, now he's the most overrated.
Daniel1980 1,425
Will Busquets continue to be a "top top player" now that the powers of Xavi and Iniesta are on the wane? Yeah, Busquets's decline coincided with Xavi and Iniesta's, and that's no coincidence. He seemed amazing when Xavi and Iniesta were in their prime, but he just had to clean up, intercept and read the game well. A DM doesn't have much to do when his team dominates the game. But now that Xavi and Iniesta declined, Busquets shortcomings are very evident: he's not strong and quick enough to close down spaces, he's not great in the air, and he's very lightweight for a DM. He's good in tight spaces, but he gets horribly exposed when he has to deal with space and pace.
Amblève. 4,995
Busquets was merely a product of the system Barcelona played. Like someome said on these forums a couple of years ago, if Mikel played for Barclona people would be claiming he's the best DM in the world. Now that the tiki-taka isn't working anymore Busquets and especially Pique are highly exposed as the overrated players they always were. It's easy playing football when the rest of your team has the ball 70% of the time but come the time the opponent has it, you either have to be very athletic or have to possess a high football IQ. Neither applies to Busquets (and Pique, for that matter).
