Blue Armour 4,439
I read on another board that UEFA mandates empty seats to separate the away fans. BTW, does anyone find it ironic that our defenders are providing the goals for The Blues??? Terry last match, Luiz this match. Bos finding net. Does anyone see a potential problem here???Its nothing new...scoring from all over the pitch and all that? What's worrying is that our forwards don't have the majority of those goals...but then again there's been a lot of rotation up front so... sodasys 40
The fact that he "needs" a pure stay at home defender along side him shows how he can be a liability with his poor decision making and positioningWhat he truly needs to do is get the experience and training necessary to curb how much and how often he is a liability defensively, only then will he be a week in week out 1st choice CB. For now he's a risky play.AVB words after the end of the game'It is not the first time this season you saw our centre-halves break through driving the ball. It's one of the things we are proud of because we have this natural technical ability, all four of them. These players have the technical talent and the ability to take it through all the way and I'm happy we scored from it.''
sodasys 40
The best thing is that AVB didn't use kalou since he was substituted by malouda against WBA that means he was out for the third match hope it be permanently
blue out west 27
This is maybe the worst comment i have seen in this forum. Not only you are insulting us by calling us racists, you are stupid enough to find it funny.I wasn't referring to this forum, more like footy fans in general.About Kalou's omission, I'm more happy that AVB is trying his best to play guys in positions where they can be successful instead of shoehorning them into spaces that don't fit their style and abilities. I think Sturridge is far better in a 4-3-3 shape than Kalou who's better in more conventional 4-4-
bombayblue™ 55
Torres had a zip in his game but frustration at times was all too evident. This is just a case of confidence as the chances keep coming but his first touch, finish keep letting him down.Bosingwa was caught in possession a couple of times and as impressive as he might have been going forward, he still scares me when defending. Sturridge and Ramires will have to help him out a lot to shut out Young and Evra against United.I'd really like to see David Luiz play alongside JT and Bane at right back. Henri 115
Though game, but overall good played. Defends a little bit wacky without Terry .And Luiz!, a month agopeople were almost crucifying him, now he is a hero?. And for those who prefer Alex, well thats the way to answer, superb Luiz!, and also Mata good game, even El Nino did good. Great result great start. Just one thing - didntLeverkusens fan made more noise then we did, or is it my tv?. To many business people, we need screaming loudfans like when we play away from home. sodasys 40
About Luiz and his forward runs as I explained yesterdayMeanwhile, Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas reserved special praise for the defender, particularly for his determined attacking play from the back.He told The Daily Mirror:"It's not the first time this season that you've seen our centre-halves breaking through, driving with the ball."It's something we're proud of: all four of them have that natural technical ability. That led to a superiority in the channel that got us the goal."I'm happy. It means the idea that were putting over in training and taking hold. These players have the technical talent to take it out on the pitch."

Term-X 7,891
They should use Ferreira as a translator like last season. I'd rather here a more articulate view of the game from Luiz, rather than broken english.

Term-X 7,891
From a fan perspective I'd rather here something more coherent, that's all. Besides.. his interview with Ferreira (working as an interpreter) was fine.
