Eidur the Spider 4,515
Ooookay. Its pretty much done now. Mixed emotions. I feel angry that we let him go to a rival, no matter how much money, we have sold to a club that messed us around and didn't want to sell one of their players to us. I hope some sort of Rooney clause is in the deal but I very much doubt it!Sad to see him go, obviously. He was my favourite player since he arrived. Brilliant to watch. But he hasn't been playing! So hopefully it won't burden us too much, with a possible replacement or even loan recalls for either Moses or Piazon. I guess I better think of a new screen name now..it's all go Never a dull day as a Chelsea fan. We knew we wouldn't be able to keep all this quality in attacking midfield happy. I'll still be a Mata fan regardless of shirt colour. Just don't score too many goals against us! SinineUltra
The Chels 2,502
Mata from a pure attacking sense, is at least as good as Oscar. So we are basically selling our joint best CAM to our rivals (may not matter this season but probably will next). Not something that is good. But the small bright side for this season is we have already played united. So United should be harder to beat and more likely to take points from City and Arsenal... Its a small positive, but better than nothing. At least as good? You mean much, much better. Barbara and lionsden
Popular Post! Special Juan 28,141 Posted January 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 22, 2014 This the same board who brought home the best manager in the world, brought us Hazard, Oscar purchased a potential world class goal keeper in Courtois and dare we say helped us to CL glory?Of course they have done things wrong but for crying out loud hasn't any board?I actually think people don't praise them because they want to moan at them because it makes them feel better. What a bunch of fickle people have around here. semiller1313, LucienDillonCFC, Fernando and 3 others

kobematabryant 400
My friend was saying this. I think selling Mata to Man Utd isnt a bad idea after all. Since we played Man Utd twice already, it aint going to affect us. With teams like Arsenal and City have yet to play United away, I think Mata would be very useful for Utd which may result in United win. This would enable us to overtake City and Arsenal. Just a thought.

Popular Post! Irakozium257 350 Posted January 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 22, 2014 I can't help but shake my head at all these ignorant posters who really are being blinded by Mourinho's halo, the majority of us don't care that Mata gets sold now FFS, but him getting sold to that filth and scum shouldn't be accepted by any CFC fan. I hate Arsenal fans with a huge passion but is it really that hard for any of you sheep to starting realizing the pain they've been through with RVP being sold, and even more him scoring against them both this and last season??? Do we really want the same thing? Do you really want to strengthen that vile club, whose fans, players and even manager loathed us for so many times? Remember the 08 CL final? The CL quarter-final in '11? The game at Old Toilet in '11 where they won the league, or even worse, the game at SB in '12? You should be ashamed of ''bleeding blue'' by sanctioning a move that give them optimism, a move that f*****g gives them a silver lining, because 40m is a good deal, Mata can't play in the new ''system'' bla bla bla. I was ecstatic when we got Mourinho back, but his ego is starting to show, and before we know it, it could get poisonous like last year with Real, even his compatriot Cristiano despised him in the end FFS. t1mb3r, MetsajCFC, Vybz Kartel and 2 others

Just a thought. For THIS season. If he gets them fourth and they sign some proper players, we'll be kicking ourselves for allowing United to become title contenders again. United are currently on a direct route to Liverpool street; we're effectively re-routing them back to Manchester and a pain in our backside by giving them Mata. He's not going single handedly make every United player turn world class all of a sudden to turn those lots over. Moreover, he will improve United in the long term. t1mb3r, Gilvorak, The Chels and 3 others
