I said I think strengthening a tired rival mid season is probably a bad idea and I don't believe there's any Rooney deal. Even Atsu. He is not significantly better than any of those. I'd be very annoyed with this signing.Why look inward and be efficient (common sense) when you can just throw money at it. One is already one of the best goalkeepers in the World while the other is one of the better strikers in the League.Talking about the likes of Thorgan Hazard, Piazon, Chalobah, McEachran etc or Academy prospects. Where's our Sterling, Gnarby, Januzaj, Barkley, Bentaleb etc like Jose promised?Even Rafa gave more chance to youth players believe it or not. It's as simple as that. He might be a good choice to bring in as cover in the middle or on the left but I don't see him being used on the right.Atsu may have a shout, but Traore is still very young in his development. Give him until the end of the season and then judge.Salah has Champions League experience, is a decent price and seems to give Jose exactly what he wants on the right side of midfield.
