Romelu Lukaku

It does matter a lot... The price for an unsettled/unwanted player reduces by quite some bit. If Lukaku had been an important player here at CFC just like Marquinhos was for Roma, he definitely would've gone for a lot more.

If he didn't have only two years left on his contract I'm pretty sure we would have got a bit more. And PSG are stupid like that.

Not disagreeing entirely but two years is still two years. We were in the position to dictate, not Everton, as we could have kept Lukaku for one more year and sold him then. It's not like he would have lost much value, especially considering how the transfermarket has developed over the past 2 years.

Any guesses to how long it will take Lukaku to start slagging Chelsea off to the press?

Something along the lines of ''I signed for Everton because the manager respects and have faith in me. I was never given a chance at Chelsea to prove myself...etc''

I'm happy this saga will be definitely over... If he doesn't want to play for us, he can go, it's easy... I liked him, I liked him a lot, but he didn't show any passion to play for this fantastic club, so fuck off...

At the start of last season I got hit on here for calling him the poor man's Drogba. I am sorry that I put him in the same comparison as the "Great One". Drogba could teach him something about ambition, and how you must earn the respect and adoration of the fans. It just seems that the guy didn't fancy fighting for his place in the team. He has just shown a complete lack of ambition. Even Drogba, at his age came back because he relished the chance to try to regain his place in the team against Costa, and Torres. If Lukaku is happy to play for Everton, then thats fine... But you will never play Champions League mate. If he is as good a footballer as he makes out to be he would have stayed and won a place in the side. But I think he knows that Everton will be the pinnacle of his career. You may have scored plenty for them last season, but the sign of a true striker is to follow that up with the same the next season, so, no pressure Romelu. Prove me wrong.
