Potentially our first major blunder of the transfer window. If our board thinks Costa, Torres and Drogba are good enough (despite other additions) to challenge City's strikeforce all season then their sadly mistaken. Costa is great but this will be his first season in the PL, Torres is a busted flush and injury prone while Drogba, legend that he is, is a shadow of his former self nowadays, so much so that Galatasaray fans want him out.

And if Lukaku has to be sold, it should be to a foreign club and for a fee no less than 25 million pounds. I hope we don't mess it up because I've been so happy with our business thus far.

Fact is the board have done superb business this window, and in the last window....and in the window before that. This wouldn't happen without Jose's say so. We don't need the money particularly, although it's always nice to take a swim in the giant Scrooge Mcduck money vault I'm almost certain we have at Cobham.

This is simply Jose not rating a player and deciding to cash in. Why is anyone at all surprised at this? Jose places so much emphasis on a player's attitude...understand that and it all becomes so much clearer.

It's too early to say it's a wrong decision. It depends on whether we're getting another young striker. I believe we will. I doubt Jose wants to rely on Torres and Drogba if Costa gets injured or suspended.

So let's wait and see. There's a lot of time until the end of the transfer window.
