Nic! 301
Oh, c'mon. You can't expect him to shut up when he just announced a loan to another team and gets to a bunch of journalist in Belgium because he is on international duty. He didn't say anything wrong or disrespectful towards Chelsea.
skeeo 37
The point is still that he should shut the hell up.
Shak 22
The point is still that he should shut the hell up.I actually like a bit of character, personality in a young player. He likes to speak up. Now..once he improves his technique/overall game, he'll be able to let his feet do all the talking.
rantdeville 195
People really shouldn't get all butt hurt about it. He wasted his time last year. So he told the press that he wasted his time last year. We all know it, move on.
Popular Post! Leif 6,006 Posted August 15, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted August 15, 2012 Lukaku can fuck off for all I care. All this stuff about him supporting the club since he was young seems bullshit at this point. He only started saying Drogba and Chelsea were his 'idol' and 'supported club' after the media began to draw comparisons with Drogba. His idol is Thierry Henry. His dad and 2 brothers = Definitely Arsenal supporters, as has been confirmed in the past.I'm beginning to think that little video package on Youtube of him visiting Stamford Bridge was really just a set-up and hopeful tear-jerker to push the move through. You don't join a club like Chelsea at his age and expect to be playing loads of games. That's just unheard of.He's now embarrassing the club whether you realise it or not, and is disrespecting the fans, the players and the staff. Doesn't sound like he supports the club now that he's getting money from us, does it?Literally thousands of footballers would beg, kill, do anything to be in the position he's in. He will pay for his words.Someone above Di Matteo's position will be very unhappy, and rightfully so. Madmax 9,219
I sacrificed a year of my career with them and didn't want to put up with it anymore.Reeks of a sense of entitlement, if you ask me. He shares the responsibility with the coaching staff for not bring good enough to get minutes on the pitch. He's young, obviously, but let's be honest he was shocking for the most part whenever he got some game time.I got sick of watching the others from the bench. I just played 12 games and when I was playing well, they would take me off.Nonsense. Blame yourself for being unable to contribute to the team's cause.Comes across as a bit of a cry baby, hopefully it's just him acting his age. RhonddaBlue88 14
Shame hes having a rant like this because hes a decent player and will only get better can see the obvious "Drogba" comparrisons i think we only signed him last year because they knew it would be drogs last season and they wanted lukaku to try and learn what he could from didier in that time and also because other clubs ie Real Madrid were sniffing around!Hopefully hel have a decent run with west brom score a few goals and get his confidence back and when his time comes hel be able to grasp it!!!Probably is him just acting his age and is just frustrated about the lack of game time! lets be fair no other club in the world would pay £18mil for a player and not play him lol!!! Severinb 309
I like character too and the interview surely was changed by the english media. And if not who cares hope he does well at WBA and comes back to help! He is a good lad and surley a chelsea fan!
Jype 6,398
Nothing wrong with what he said imo, and I for one would be more worried if he wasn't unhappy with sitting on the bench and just focused on ripping off the club à la Bogarde.Only thing is, that after making such comments he must be prepared to make one hell of an impression at West Brom or he will look like an idiot. capriccioso 2,545
You know, I'm starting to think he won't turn out that well.He monstered the Belgian league, but that was down to him being bigger than 99% of the world's strikers at the age of 17. LDN Blue 7,903
As regular readers will know, there’s nothing we dislike more on this site than players playing the victim card. At some point, this generation of footballers has to understand that sob-stories about being fabulously rewarded for doing very little will never resonate with the public. Nobody cares. With regards Lukaku specifically, maybe he should be looking at himself rather than Chelsea here? It seem plainly obvious to anybody who has watched him, that he moved to Chelsea from Anderlecht prematurely – doubtless lured in by the bright lights and stacks of cash – and so what did he expect when he got there? Didier Drogba was still at the club last season, Fernando Torres was there, as were both Daniel Sturridge and Salomon Kalou – how much did he really expect to play?Stop biting the hand that feeds you, and ask these questions of yourself – or your representatives.Ultimately, had he been good enough to play a role for Chelsea last season, then he would’ve done. Lukaku has all the tangible attributes to be a good player, but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired at the moment.http://thepremierleagueowl.com/romelu-lukaku-and-his-misdirected-rage-at-chelsea/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=romelu-lukaku-and-his-misdirected-rage-at-chelseaI think this sums it up perfectly. Rubber bullets 1,183
If I knew him I would tell him to lay low from the media spotlight and just work at trying to establish himself at WBA through hard work in order to show Chelsea he does has promise. Continually going to the media to talk about how you hated being in the reserves is not going to get you sympathy (at least with me), but just makes you come across as a whiney arsehole.
