I always remember his performance for us against Liverpool in CC it was one of the worst i have ever seen from a Chelsea player in a long time, My word how he has improved since then! he is really looking like he is the real deal now and could well become the next Drogba! BEAST!!!

The only reason i watched West Brom v Liverpool tonight was to see Lukalu and boy the 75 minutes was worth the wait. Good goal son

Great minds think alike!

He is a great player and i can't believe the transformation in a short period of time. He has the speed and physical attributes that should make him a beast, but has also improved the first touch which was incredibly poor in pre season and has improved technically.

A 4-4-2 with demba and lukaku, seems like a great idea to me... :)

great first touch and was it finished on his weaker foot?

If I recall correctly his first touch was woeful during pre-season - guess his touch will improve with more game time/confidence, looks a good prospect.

IMHO that first touch will improve w/ confidence & playing time - I am sure he had nerves & who wouldn't at his age. I don't expect kids to come up to the big time will a lot of composure. It's called a maturation process.

Yes I realise that, my post was slightly tongue in cheek (maybe I failed at that) but I am/have been critical of how we treat our youngsters and heap pressure/expectation on them without giving them game time to improve.

Yes, for the future not a finished product. As you saw today, the kid has loads of potential. Imagine if he was playing for le arse or l'puke right now. Would you be happy about that?

of course he is not the finished product but in that particular game last season he didn't show any potential, but im very impressed with the improvement he has made this season though.
