πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ Romelu Lukaku

The first thing Lukaku needs to do is fire us past Spurs in the League Cup.

It's hardly top of the priority list, but no way do I want to see them having the chance to replace their "year we put the pressure on" DVD with an actual trophy.

''REVEALED: Chelsea stars 'think Romelu Lukaku wants to LEAVE' after the fall-out from his bombshell TV interview...''

sort of bullshit article floating around. Maybe a scintilla of credibility if you didnt look up the Daily Mail authors twitter account - Oh its a Sp*''rs season ticket holder 🀣

Doesn’t prove much considering Tuchel said he wanted a #9 that can hold off defenders and then mentioned Lukaku as an option. This was weeks before we bought him…

Perhaps he was told Lukaku was coming, then it sounds like the right thing to say

Yeah screams of a club signing now

Thought and said so all along. Posted to say that I didn't buy the, "Rom has unfinished business at Chelsea.", line and that instead it was likely that someone in the Chelsea decision making ranks had unfinished business with Rom. Went on to log my suspicion that this person was looking to prove they were right to have signed Rom in the first place all those years ago.Β

Perhaps so and given everything he's done and said, would a public apology even mean anything at this point?Β

I thought it was rich Gary Neville backing him yesterday when he's been critical of players such as Pogba doing the same at United in the past (and possibly even criticised Lukaku for speaking out about United).

However, I do agree with some of what he said. What is an apology really going to achieve at this point? This isn't an interview with a paper or magazine that could be argued has been mis-translated because the interview has been recorded and aired.

The best thing he can do now is produce on the pitch. Actions speak louder than words and if he is performing and scoring goals, he will be forgiven. It's as simple as that.

The one thing I don't think he'll be afforded now though is time and patience, like for example someone like Werner is afforded. If Lukaku is struggling and then seemingly not putting in the hard yards like a Werner will always do, the crowd will let him know about it.

I know we want players to be honest and not just spout PR bullshit but I can't for the life of me understand how Neville and some other English journalists used that as an excuse to defend Lukaku in this situation. He literally disrespected Tuchel, the club and his teammates and made the fans pissed off. There's a time and way to be honest about things but everything he did was not them.Β

Β

Seiously what a feckin circus this has turned into.

It sounds a bit wild and whacky but I dont think ive ever seen a Chelsea player do this then have the club come out saying hes not going anywhere for atleast 2 more seasons??

Looks like lukaku has more power and influence than the manager now.

Every man and his dog was saying he cannot come back grovelling after what hes said and now it looks like hes not even being punished.

Disaster, The most unprofessional ridicluous thing ive ever seen, kids on 200k odd a week and wouldnt be able to keep a job at dominos!

Anyone trying to spin this as a positive is having a laugh.

Not buying it. Now the air has been cleared allegedly.Β

For me, Tuchel pushed for this move. I’ve seen enough to suggest it.Β

Not for me. If he pushed to get Lukaku - he would have had him in the squad yesterday

The club yeah ofc but not the team, Thats TT's job.

As a club theyre taking the piss atm in all, 150m in debt

The 15 + managers under Abramovich have been mainly custodians and given some tools that they didnt ask for (Shevchenko anyone ?) theyΒ can be overruled any time and shown the door.Β
