”Sheer criminality” ”Sheer criminality” Theresa May is like one of those squeaking dolls that says the same thing over and over again when you pull the string out of its neck.

A few weeks the mealy mouthed, expense fiddling politicians, were calling the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East ”The democratic process at work” Was the level of hopelessness and despair in Egypt and Tunisia which forced ordinary people onto the streets and caused governments to fall so different from the hopelessness and powerlessness felt by the crowds in Tottenham or Brixton? Is the feeling of being oppressed in Syria any different from that felt by some in the UK?

I would agree with you if they were taking to the streets for a purpose other than to rob some shops, mug some people and fight with police. These people couldn't give a monkeys what is happening in this country, all they care about is how big a flat screen TV they can swipe from currys.

The sick aspect of it is that the vast majority of these rioters are young kids, bored teenagers with nothing to do whilst school is out. I personally believe that the only way we can revert back from British yob culture to a civilised society would be to make, at the age of 16, both sixth form college or national service compulsory. Then kids can have the choice to either get an education or undergo gruelling army training. It might not be radical, but it would work.

You're speaking about an underwhelming minority who do not possess a conscience. Don't speak with such generalisations, you'll learn that it will only get you in deep shit in life.

If you don't like English people or English culture, why do you support an English football team? Football, something that typifies everything that is English, encapsulates the minds of millions and is a ritualistic part of English life, thuggery, hooliganism et al. If you don't like it, I've heard the A League has increased in popularity these days.

You know more about English people than i do because you live there but from what i've seen and heard, most of the English are thugs. (Football Factory and Green Street reflect this). I do like English culture and English people, only the ones who have a brain bigger than a peanut though. Just because i don't like most English people doesn't mean i don't like Chelsea. I love English Football, i don't like most English people. While we're at it, i don't like Terry or Cole off the pitch either. And yes, the A-League is becoming very popular.

Sorry you are using a film to say that the majority of English people are thugs?!? What a ridiculous thing to say.

Furthermore, these films were produced with hooliganism being the main theme!

You are conveying your opionion of the population of an nation on things such as films?

You might as well fellow the stereotypical views on everyone else. I now firmly believe all Ozzies are beer-hungry BBQ fanatics who all worship Crocidile Dundee and wrestling those darn crocadiles! IMO, only those with narrow minds follow the simplistic stereotypical assurtions.

You do know that football films are fictitious accounts that reflect football hooliganism of the 80s, right? There's absolutely nothing like that these days, if you want to see hooliganism I say look at this thread and see from Serbian and Italian people what it is like to be a football thug!!

The bad reputation of the English comes from drunken teenagers out on the streets, or the rowdy ones on holiday in Ibiza looking for a fight, the casual drunken muppets who have a blatant disregard for the laws of the state. You'll find that is a very small minority, however, and that most British teenagers are exactly like me - hard-working, unassuming, sometimes a bit boisterous, yes, but we are nothing like the yobs you are seeing on the news. They are a mixture of uneducated people and some of them are ethnic minorities trying to rebel against a state that has no more money to cough up in benefits.

Stereotyping is easy to do. For example we can assume all Germans are neo-Nazis, the French are idle bastards in berets, the Americans are war-mongering, overweight slobs and the Australians ride kangaroos to work and celebrate each day with a surfing competition and a beachside barbecue. The reality is far from that, and your image of Britain seems to be similar to the apocalyptic bullshit the press are spreading. In truth, its some bored thugs with nothing to do now school is shut, who have parents who don't give a shit and are probably waiting for Giro day. Britain is in a mess financially, but the English people, not the minorities, are as old-fashioned and proper as ever. Unfortunately our bad reputation comes from a mindless minority.

Not once did i state that i think the English are thugs because of 2 movies. I just said those movies reflect how English people are.

Was staying in the Ramada Ealing -2 cars set alight outside

Today we see our privileged Oxbridge and privately educated multi-millionaire leaders fly home from their Tuscan holiday villas to condemn those at the bottom of the shitpile of capitalism.

They have no idea that life is like for those who have been rioting. Social mobility in britain is non-existent – you can not rise up. The political class controls all aspects of our society and owns all of the land. The bankers get millions while someone who loots a mobile phone will get a long jail sentence. It is a grotesque absurd society – no wonder the explosion when it comes is viscerally ferocious. Just wish it had been in the millionaires areas of London......

have i read this wrong or are you seriously trying to defend "people" who are robbing and looting and burning families out of their homes? This is not a democratic protest, this is fucking mob rule fueled by verile kids who have no respect for their communities, if in fact they are even from the areas, and want nothing more than to cause havoc and fill their pockets. Ive seen it loads of times before, yes there are some who are there for what they think is a good cause but the overwhelming majority are rent a mob.

Riots are like lightning -spontaneous. Some of the anti social behaviour is out of order -burglarising your own peoples flats (if this did go on).

Young people at the bottom of the capitalist shit pile have had the EMA taken away and no job prospects. We are bombarded with the urge to acquire ''things'' i phones, and all the gadgets. Looting a few TVs from shops is nothing to the real big crimes, the billions of tax avoidance by the rich, the plundering of foreign countries by our other brutalised paid youth, the army.

Watch the corporate media now try and get the 'righteous 'working class on their middle class side with ad nauseum calls for 'justice'. Its an explosion of anger and hopelessness and though I totally condemn the robbing of local shops -nicking TVs from Currys or trainers from Footlocker is fuck all - just a bit of wealth redistribution

I just can't see this as a political protest and while the original incident might have been hatred from the police ,,the majority of incidents

are just mindless violence committed by youths who are supposed to be the future of our country .. on this forum there are many young

people who I know are horrified by what they are seeing .. this particularly set of incidents will subside .....but sadly will occur again in the future

You stupid twat, most of these people are opportunist who are using this as an excuse to go and get anything what they want. While those in the Middle East are genuinly fighting for better rights, these chavs would not even know what the word democracy even means and I bet half of them would not who the idiot Mark Duggan's name is.

If they riot again tonight lets hope your house is burnt to the ground, it might make you feel proud that our youth are in the street taking a stand.
