Liquidator 5,176
Not once did i state that i think the English are thugs because of 2 movies. I just said those movies reflect how English people are.Well then I could use this to say that this reflects how Australian people are by your logic? ulsterchelsea 3,221
Was staying in the Ramada Ealing -2 cars set alight outsideToday we see our privileged Oxbridge and privately educated multi-millionaire leaders fly home from their Tuscan holiday villas to condemn those at the bottom of the shitpile of capitalism. They have no idea that life is like for those who have been rioting. Social mobility in britain is non-existent – you can not rise up. The political class controls all aspects of our society and owns all of the land. The bankers get millions while someone who loots a mobile phone will get a long jail sentence. It is a grotesque absurd society – no wonder the explosion when it comes is viscerally ferocious. Just wish it had been in the millionaires areas of London...... have i read this wrong or are you seriously trying to defend "people" who are robbing and looting and burning families out of their homes? This is not a democratic protest, this is fucking mob rule fueled by verile kids who have no respect for their communities, if in fact they are even from the areas, and want nothing more than to cause havoc and fill their pockets. Ive seen it loads of times before, yes there are some who are there for what they think is a good cause but the overwhelming majority are rent a mob. Fulham Broadway 17,320
I would agree with you if they were taking to the streets for a purpose other than to rob some shops, mug some people and fight with police. These people couldn't give a monkeys what is happening in this country, all they care about is how big a flat screen TV they can swipe from currys.Riots are like lightning -spontaneous. Some of the anti social behaviour is out of order -burglarising your own peoples flats (if this did go on).Young people at the bottom of the capitalist shit pile have had the EMA taken away and no job prospects. We are bombarded with the urge to acquire ''things'' i phones, and all the gadgets. Looting a few TVs from shops is nothing to the real big crimes, the billions of tax avoidance by the rich, the plundering of foreign countries by our other brutalised paid youth, the army.Watch the corporate media now try and get the 'righteous 'working class on their middle class side with ad nauseum calls for 'justice'. Its an explosion of anger and hopelessness and though I totally condemn the robbing of local shops -nicking TVs from Currys or trainers from Footlocker is fuck all - just a bit of wealth redistribution
zolayes 14,489
I just can't see this as a political protest and while the original incident might have been hatred from the police ,,the majority of incidentsare just mindless violence committed by youths who are supposed to be the future of our country .. on this forum there are many youngpeople who I know are horrified by what they are seeing .. this particularly set of incidents will subside .....but sadly will occur again in the future

Rubber bullets 1,183
”Sheer criminality” ”Sheer criminality” Theresa May is like one of those squeaking dolls that says the same thing over and over again when you pull the string out of its neck.A few weeks the mealy mouthed, expense fiddling politicians, were calling the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East ”The democratic process at work” Was the level of hopelessness and despair in Egypt and Tunisia which forced ordinary people onto the streets and caused governments to fall so different from the hopelessness and powerlessness felt by the crowds in Tottenham or Brixton? Is the feeling of being oppressed in Syria any different from that felt by some in the UK?You stupid twat, most of these people are opportunist who are using this as an excuse to go and get anything what they want. While those in the Middle East are genuinly fighting for better rights, these chavs would not even know what the word democracy even means and I bet half of them would not who the idiot Mark Duggan's name is.If they riot again tonight lets hope your house is burnt to the ground, it might make you feel proud that our youth are in the street taking a stand. Rubber bullets 1,183
No need for that mate.No no no, it really pisses me off that he is either enjoying this or at least codoning the violence, simple becuase a group of thugs are attacking the police and "shocking the system".In the early hours of the morning I was listening to LBC 97.3 and a caller came on the air. I think FB would call him a proud working class man. Well he came on the air to say that he had a shop that sold carpets and that was his life. Well he called to say that the whole shop was burnt to the ground as well as the flats where he and others lived. Not only could people have died (luckily no one did), but now his whole life has been shattered and he has nothing. He was not a so called member of the rich elite but an honest man. You have to be a cunt to give any excuse for these yobs, I'm sorry but FB is a sad delusional git to say that these people are oppressed, when infact these are criminals who have been brought up to have no respect for anyone, and now thise mental nutcases run the asylum. Yet that's ok becuase they are giving it to the man. This guy really is a cunt.

ZanSnake 1,211
I don't care for the reasoning of why at the moment, but the understanding of how the government is going to stop this, to avoid thos going further on and making more damage which the public would most likely have to pay for through more taxes increases. Every day there has been an attack on working class peoples living standards through legislation or cuts. The rich Oxbridge Murdoch cuddling set have created this situation, You get people that have no hance of a job, house, pension, its a dangerous situation

Since you condone rioting and see it as people having there say against tyranny, let them burn your house, let them put you and your family at risk and after that lets all sympathetically nod our heads in agreement that these people are just poor and oppressed people who are in no way responsible for their actions becuase they are being stopped by those 'nasty tories and bankers'.Prick.
