I'm sure it's been said many time before by others, but I'd really like to see Romeu get a shot in the double-pivot this season. He had some excellent games under AVB and seems to move the ball a lot quicker in general than Mikel.

Cant we all just wait until the season starts and let both Mikel and Romeu get some games. Then we can decide who should be our man. Personaly i dont think Mikel has been bad and i wouldnt mind having him as our DM but if Romeu can prove that he is better than Mikel, then he is our man.

I take it wth Barca about to sign Alex Song, Romeu will be a Chelsea player at least for this season. If so, I really hope Di Matteo will give him a chance in the double pivot. He certainly better then Lampard or Essien in there.

On paper Romeu and Ramires in the double pivot looks good to me! especially if we are going to play the pressing game which is what i think we need to do, a front four of Torres, Mata, Hazard and Oscar can all press the ball high up the pitch and then with the two behind them being Ramires and Romeu who both can close players down quick i think it could be the way forward for us. Whether RDM will get us to press the ball remains to be seen but thats what i would like to see.

Well Song is officially a Barcelona player which means it's safe to say that Romeu is most probably staying for the next few seasons. Personally, I'm delighted; I think the boy has got bags of talent.

Busquets and Song are 24 years old so they still have a lot ahead of them. With Barca playing with 1 defensive midfielder I can see Romeu staying here

Never believed in Romeu having a future in Barca midfield, don't think he has the intelligence to play there. Barca fans who follow the B team, believe that Jonathan Dos Santos has much more of a brighter future and from what i have seen of both players i agree.

Anyway kinda silly for Barca to replace keita with Song, or in fact even needed replacing when Sergi Roberto and JDS could have done the same job. Keita was a player for them who got more minutes than he deserved.

I don't think anything changes for Romeu going forward, if he has a future at Barca then undoubtedly it will be at CB.
