He has all but taken the job from Mikel. He is exactly what we need in a holding mid.

i wouldnt say he has taken over the role but, i really liked his mentality of foward passes. And he seems to know how to spray a few long passes too.

He always wants to pass foward before checkin other options and thats what i like. In the buildup to torres first goal, we intercepted the ball and he imediately passed foward to moses who layed it for hazard to cross. Most other DM think negative and pass to the side and spoil the counter attack.

Hope he gets back soon.

So sad he's injured, he was doing a great job. For me he was taking Mikel's place in the team. Not so nervous on the ball, building the attack at a higher speed.
