Working 12 hours a day is fucken crazy. It shows how passionate he is and how much he wants to succeed but the cancers of the club fucked him off.

Possible, although expect people (particularly the ones on The Shed End forum and CFCnet) who are adament that the old guard have done nothing wrong and would never try and create mutiny to latch on to this story and pronounce it as fact.

Seriously the other two forums have so manny people in denial that the players are the problems and even say that AVB should have licked theirr asses and inflate their ego.

I cannot imagine people being so deluded! I am thankful that I am hanging out at the right place. Frank has been utterly disgraceful, to say the least. Members who do have the chance to go and support the team should make this view very clear, IMO. I hope one of the admins or the senior moderators notices this and I wish he/she could organize an outspoken dissent against these arrogant pricks, who dont deserve to carry the Chelsea badge. I wish.

No one knows whats gone on in the dressing room -so its all media stuff about 'player power' and people are just spouting the same shit on here. Probably bollocks as usual.

Fact is football is now a business. There is no romance in business.

Dom Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas had the worst record since Glen Hoddle, fucking atrocious, Glad the cunts gone -and as for all the media and people whining '' oh you need continuity, he's been treated sooooo badly'' -yeah right Like Wengers won anything in eight years ,at least the Chelsea way it has brought Three League Titles, Three FA Cups, Two League Cups and Two Charity Shields

another manager gone, mid season whats the point, seasons as good as done i really dont think RDM is going to do anything speical he will most prob keep playing Lamps and co, Chelsea should have just said look ok bad season but in the summer you can buy who you want and sell who you want and them lets see what you can do.

Whos gonna want the job knowing that they will be scaked anyways, I mean you do a double and you still get Sacked, as a club they really need to think long and hard who they will get next and go with this person for at least 5 years we cant win everything all the time.

I really liked AvB feel sorry for him tbh good luck in the future mate.

Frank Lampard has really shocked me with his attitude recently, its just so not Lamps to act like twat. These footballers are for the most part all the same though, they don't give a shit about fans its all about lifestyle.

I somehow always knew he was much more selfish than he seemed. I always knew that JT and Frank cannot be compared. Frank surely has done well for the club but can never have the status that JT has in my mind.

People might bash me that I am spilling this based on recent events but that is not true.

Makes no sense. If he sees that the players are the problem, then why did he fire AVB?

If you take the view that the relationship between AVB and a majority of the player's had broken down, then in football and in other sectors the player's will eventually outlast the Manager. It's a matter of economics and dynamics - change one or ten?

Changing the ten won't generally happen. AVB tried to confront a situation he perceived as being unhealthy and lost - No surprise to me, there were rumours of players being unhappy with his micro-management of them and tactics as far back as September/October. If true then the Daily Mail's comments of him working long days and sleeping at the ground suggest that he was dealing at a level of detail he shouldn't need to and hadn't either appointed/been allowed to appoint a management team to support him. If you consider the minute detail of his scouting reports he used to prepare when working under JM then maybe it's no surprise that his management style may follow the same lines.

If RA has taken the players aside and informed them they're not blameless then good for him, it needed doing, hopefully he also told a few of them a few home and professional truths. Roman for his and our sakes needs to get the structure of the club right now and allow a manager to control more aspects of the playing staff and style and the next Manager needs to be allowed to make all his own decisions regarding players in and out without a convaluted process of authorisation, say just a Chief Exec and probably/realistically in our case, Roman.

It'll be stormy for a while yet, but with the right man in place, someone who will not 'dictate' or 'placate' but will rationally advise and discuss then the transition can be achieved. AVB in my view tried to dictate and manage too much detail, you could witness it from the touchline. Most of our players are long-in-the-tooth professionals who do not need this and probably reacted. The Manager needs the skill to recognise this and formulate a strategy that'll work in the long-term.

I think the clubs statement said it all yesterday, they/we were in a position where something had to change, as is the way it was the Manager.

Show some fucking respect. The man has been treated by shit by fans and players alike. AVB isn't a "cunt."

Wtf. I wouldn't have expected this from you.

To him, the players are never responsible, has it ever come across to some people who blame it all on the manager that maybe its actually that we have a squad full of either over the hill past it crybabies, others who would never get you even in the top 4 with only a few quality players. Hey some would argue that the full potential of our squad is fucking lucky to get 5th!

Don't be silly Justin. I'm stating a fact we were fucked at that time and Roman saved the club, I along with many fans were shitting ourselves (despite getting into the CL) back in 2003 because our future looked so dull, Roman arrived and saved us from possible liquidation. Thankfully we are a big enough club now that if Roman wanted to sell we would get very wealthy owners into the club. We are getting better financially every single season and if it was not for the past managers we are still paying off the club would of been close to being self-sufficient, the club has grew 10 fold world wide and we are in good shape. If Roman wanted to leave tomorrow he would want to sell it just like any sane person and the person who bought it would have to be extremely wealthy because the club is worth more then 800 million. This whole notion of Roman walking away without selling is absurd !

Feels assuring. But I want to ask whether this is assured legally or if RA can fuck us over just because he feels like (not that he has/will have any intentions to do that)?

You have to go with the Roman flow. If he thinks nothing of splashing £64 m on paying off managers, theres no room for sentiment. AVBs record is the worst for 20 years.

Actually feel gutted he's gone. I really liked the bloke, he wore his heart on his sleeve and he has the admirable quality of saying things exactly how he sees them. I wish him the best of luck, and I hope the next time we come up against him he absolutely fucks us over, because that is what these players cunts have done to him.

I have given myself a drunken night to digest this but it still feels unreal! All the hopes and expectations for the future, all the awesome (but not expensive, unlike CFC) speculated signings, all the attractive, youthful and energetic football I was looking forward to once AVB truly stamped his authority on the team..all of this has gone down the drain! We are back to square one and I strongly feel that the club is answerable to the fans for all the dashed hopes.

Which good manager in his senses will ever take up the job at Chelsea and look at it as a long-term project?! All of this is so depressing. The only respite the summer can provide is if we bid goodbye yell fuck-offs to the cunts (read Lampard and likes) who are indirectly responsible for this chaos.

It's probably the shittest squad we've had for 20 years.

Yeah grant you that some arent pulling their weight, and the youngsters theyve let slip through that are doing blinding -Aanholt , Kakuta, Borini etc.

The main fault is with the board -Yes men that Abramovich wont get rid ie Bruce Buck, the chief executive, Ron Gourlay, the director Eugene Tenenbaum and close friend Eugene Shvidler, the chairman of Millhouse, Abramovich's investment company.

Its an autocracy run on the lines of Putins Russia, and until that changes expect 10 - 15 managers to come and go. Better get used to it.

The good news from that article is that at least Roman realises that the players are at fault and the quote of

'massive changes' in the Summer is also promising. It doesn't matter who the manager is at the moment because the squad simply isn't good enough, too much deadweight, too many players past their prime, the squad has stagnated and hopefully now Roman will finally perform the big squad clear out that has been long overdue.

Pretty disgraceful really, gotta feel sorry for him, did the best he could with an inherited team. as some of the papers are saying i think a fair few of the players have to accept at least some responsibility for the clubs current situation. This surely isn't what "football fans" want to see , Chelsea supporters or not.
