It’s been suggested the ‘Special One’ will consider a return if he is given full control of the club, but the Russian has confided to close friends it’s not an option he is prepared to consider.

Seeing an article claim "close friends" of Abramovich would speak to the press just after what looks like one of the most desperate attempts to get a photograph of the man gives a great image of just how real all stories about anything Roman thinks are.

I used to just dont like our coach Now f...... hate that f.....

cant people see he just dont got it, and now he talks about next season!?.

shit ´, shit... SACK HIM!!!!

Sorry

I remember hearing the same excuse about Carlo.

The whole sacking every manager after doing bad is just plain boring.

If Chelsea sack AVB for the same reason, I will loose a lot of respect for the board and Roman!

I love the fact he can see that this, his team, is a project and that he acknowledges our fault whilst still having the enthuism for glory - it is a good indication for the future, and maybe a way to motivate the players. Also, to see he can see the 'team-play' Nando does as well is good, but maybe he should be looking more into the tactics and midfeild rather then the striker.

On the one hand, I think it is wise form him to involve the players in all kind of decisions (about football matters). But on the second hand, it might have worked very well at Porto, because of the players he had, but here it isn't the same situation, players' power is too much heavy, and our squad is filled with multi-millionaires with big ego. Ask Lampard, Malouda and Drogba whether they want to play, off course they'll say they want to play, no matter what their form are. Ask players who have played for three or more years in a 4-3-3 if they want to change the formation, they will say no ! Ask them to change completely their style of playing, i.e. to go from a side pass and slow built-up game to a fast tempo game, of course they will be recalcitrant.

After reading this, no wonder his effort to instil a high tempo in this team (fast tempo which we have seen against United) has failed and now we play like last year.

He shouldn't ask those spoiled brats.

Got most of the things spot on imo. I didn't agree with the selection of Bosingwa over Bertrand, but let it be then, he's the boss and knows better. It's just a bad message to Ryan.

Now I don't get people who blame him for that draw. First of all, there were 2 soft penalties.. does he control his players with a gamepad? I don't think so. Does he have control over the referee's view on things? Doubt it. Although what's with his substitutes lately? I think he made only 1 sub today, while Essien was visibly knackered. And Malouda stays on while Sturridge leaves? Oh well, I don't blame only him for today.... I think defensively and in attack we were much more organized and better than we've been against the shit lower ranked teams. Things could have gone much worse.

If been a case of a 3-3 draw and one pen and 2 normal goals..could understand the blame so much but 2 pens you cant do so much about it!

His subs never make sense lol..they need work more then anything! Half the time make a sub and all goes to pot and you think whyyy

love the football hes got us playing. Give me a 3-3 playing like that over a boring 1-0 any day.

Disagree, 3 points is 3 points, but anyway I am not at all content with him. We were tactically awful in the second half and we were outplayed. When we scored the 3rd it looked as if we were searching for another 3 instead of keeping that result. AVB should have focused on the defensive area more knowing how dangerous and lucky United are when they counter-attack.

I completely agree with lot of us that AVB has been really not living up to expectation. But then, Is sacking him a solution for us? can anyone guarantee the next coach would get us the wins/result/vision? ... We lose out loads of money for the new gaffer and then again a new philosophy and if that's not happening again the same old loop ...

I was annoyed with the selection to start with and i never expected a win ( my predication was a 1-3 to United) but we were good in lot of areas and kept pressing despite being average. I m not giving AVB the credit but then we really dont have any option but to continue with him, like it or not .... If we sack AVB this season i dont see any good manager coming here for sure ...

I still back him in the long-term. He was unlucky today. I agreed with Sturridge off for Romeu, we needed calamity in midfield & Sturridge wasn't doing the required back-tracking.

Still believe in André Villas-Boas.

I dont think you mean Calamity ,,,weve had enough of that as it is

I believe in him and will so until gives us a real reason not to such as not signing anyone in the summer etc.

Doing what he can with the squad he has...defintly has areas that need work such as Subs for one sodding thing but we cant keep sacking and hiring managers for the sake of it or a run of poor results cause thats can always change.Every team has a bad run its just how its delt with and most the time top 4 clubs dont sack a manager to deal with it

Has a lot to learn but imo anyway needs the time to prove himself and hope he gets it because I will loose more faith in our board if he does get the sack..because we'll just end up being in the same situation in a few months if we did..
