Muzchap 8,966
looks like he's off to Arsenal http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2257345/David-Villa-transfer-latest-Striker-plead-Barcelona-move.htmlhttp://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-transfers-david-villa-bid-151844715 million is a lot...Arsenal fans already moaning, but he is a great player - but I'm happier with BA for 7 million.... OneMoSalah 8,889
Available for 15 million but yet we over look him, fucking idiots tbh, Rafa should have rattled the board and kept saying "David Villa and Demba Ba will fire us to glory in some competition" because they would. We're better off with Ba but we'd be even better off with both Ba and Villa.
Damo810 5
Much rather Lewandowski for 16-18M. 15M is a silly money for a 31 year old who can't make the barca team and is refusing to sign a new contract. Can see why Arsenal supporters would be upset. On another note, what does this mean for Walcott?

And buying Villa and Ba never was either, because that blonde cunt is still around..
bababoom 4,478
15 million? no thanks.. way too much considering he's 31.
Tomo 21,751
Its happening, Villa has been seen at The Emirates Stadium apparently talking with the club.https://twitter.com/MCStatueGS/status/287364021076766720
DH1988 1,353
Not good, realistically the amount of chances Arsenal create he will be a hit there.. surely 15m is worth it to derail them! haha!

DDA 9,985
Thank God we didn't sign Villa. I don't think I could stomach another Spanish poof in our squad. We want geezers like the BA.
Jase 43,479
Wenger paying 15m for a player who is over 30 years old already?! Surely he won't. He's already stingy enough to pay 15m for a quality player in his mid-20s, let alone one who is 31 y/o.
Corner 456
Didn't Wenger say that whether or not Walcott signs a contract could have an effect on whether they sign any players or not?Interesting, this could either mean Walcott signed a contract or has refused to. Kezza 1,965
Now we have ba, would rather the board spend 15 mill on a midfielder (cm preferably).

Corner 456
For those who said David Villa is 'too old' or 'lacks pace' or has 'lost it,' I hope you're watching the Barcelona vs Cordoba game right now. After 25 minutes, David Villa has already scored two insanely good goals. Goals that Torres couldn't even dream of scoring.

Corner 456
Against a spanish second division club mate! That's irrelevant. Both of those goals (especially the first) need a very high amount of ability to pull off. Whether you're playing a Liga Adelante team or a Primera Liga team, it doesn't matter. A player doesn't simply just lose those abilities. His positioning, skill, technique and instincts make up for his apparent lack of pace.
