Thank god. Two possible positives from this: 1. We're not splurging a vast amount on one player, meaning an overall improvement to the team (hopefully) 2. Or, if we still really want to spend a lot of money on a striker, it increases our chances of Cavani (who I think is better and would suit us better). Either way, it's a win-win as far as I can see!

Burn this thread. Bit harsh!

Lol, but we are fucking terrible in all honesty!

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8742186/Manuel-Pellegrini-claims-to-have-verbal-agreement-to-take-over-at-Manchester-City Manuel Pellegrini claims to have verbal agreement to take over at Manchester City Pellegrini all but confirmed it seems. I'm not worried about them to be honest really. They don't really have a winning mentality at the moment and Pellegrini is better than Mancini, but he can't wave a wand in the first day with all their egos. Is his English even any good? As the only place to be said, we'll have Jose, who will be the best manager in the league. I'm not worried about them or United for that matter. I'm not saying we'll walk the league, but we shouldn't fear anyone.

UK... You better be trolling me boy!

Hmmmm....and this means?

I agree with where you're coming from totally! Well, not 'mistakes' really. They are rare. What I mean to say was that there have been a number of times where I thought he could've done a lot better. I'm not saying these could've been avoided with Courtois, but I think he is more motivated to impress and better himself on a constant basis in comparison.
-
For all of his world class saves, don't forget that there's also been moments in the season where Cech could've done a lot better. Cech is a legend and all, but he isn't perfect, but neither is any keeper for that matter. All I know is that Courtois has a lot more time on his side and is one of the best young goalkeepers that Europe has seen in quite some time, probably since Casillas (in terms of age/raw talent) broke at Real. I'm a sucker for sentimentality to some degree, but these aren't players who can be rotated like Lampard and Terry. Cech is still world class and will be for a while yet, I'm not doubting that, but Courtois can be world class for us for much longer. We have a chance to transition from one top keeper to another, that a real rarity in the game, especially considering how little we paid. I just don't think we should risk throwing away one of the brightest talents in Europe for mainly, what I can see, are sentimental reasons. P.S. I think Courtois should be loaned back to Atletico next season (after a contract extension) and to a PL club the season after before attempting to take no. 1 spot.

@Peace.,@Rmpr, as much as I agree with both of you, I don't think it's just down to Munich, the players and the money. Long story short, I don't think it's a sheer coincidence that Bayern turn into the biggest cunt club on the planet soon after they announce Guardiola will be appointed... I mean, I don't think the club was 'well liked' before, but these transfers are taking it to a whole new level of 'cuntishness'. The first thing I saw them as was a complete bitch move instigated by a manager who is afraid of competition in the league. All I know is that Pep soon left Barca when Mourinho took the league from him. He also wasn't interested in coming to one of, if not the most, competitive league in the world. It seems to me that he's trying to ensure the German league before he even starts. He wouldn't want his glowing reputation threatened now would he? Funny thing is, he seems to be shooting himself in the foot in that regard. The players, the club and the money are all important factors, but I think it was Guadiola who pointed Bayern's nose in the direction of Gotze and Lewandowski; I see him as the man who got the ball rolling on such an underhanded tactic.

Nah mate, I presented you with facts that were completely contrary to your argument and you didn't even bother respond. So I find your use of the word 'debate' quite comical.
-
Just leave him Kojo. I was tempted to respond to him yesterday for that bullshit attention-seeking comment, but I thought it best not to. Especially since he didn't bother respond to me when I ripped his retarded argument to shreds the last time he brought it up. He's either clueless or an attention-seeking idiot; either way, he isn't worth the time.

Lads, I just realised something. A friend of mine has an uncle that actually plays for Hull, Stephen Quinn. I was at my firend's party (after the CL final) and his uncle was there. I'm only realising now that I should've gone up to him and tried my luck and asked if he could get me Super Frank's shirt next season! I might ask my friend, but I really don't want to seem like a dick and it'd be a long shot...but oh how I would love to have that man's shirt above my mantelpiece!!! I honestly wouldn't want anything else in the world!

We need a dedicated 'Yossi is leaving' party thread... Everyone can have their say, it'll be...cathartic! Yeah, that's the word!
-
I was actually just thinking of this yesterday! I'll be a bit bias and say Essien would've shaded it. As much for Toure's strength, Essien would've been faster and so was a bit more skillful going forward. That, or they would've ended up breaking each other's legs!

I have a problem. Sometimes when I click onto the website, there's a ladyboy at the top of the page staring at me with a pervy half-smile...what's up with that?
-
I hope he starts dancing around with a Chelsea shirt and a little plastic flag with Benitez's face on it...
-
...yeah, sadly, yours actually sounds more accurate!
-
Please, when you leave Yossi, don't speak about Chelsea, because we won't speak about you. Don't give another reason for us to dislike you even more. Just pack your shit and leave.
-
We'll probably end up signing Wilfred Bony or something and it'll be the worst anti-climax ever...
-
Eh, creativity? Ilkay Gundogan is Dortmund's DLP...albeit, not as good as de Rossi/Modic etc. but he's still very young. I'm coming at an angle of 'future-proofing' the team, but I understand what you say about Modric. He's probably the most realistic acquisition and he's a decent balance between both players in terms of age and experience. The PL experience is massive.
-
I agree with a lot of these, but what's with people and de Rossi? He's 30 in two months, no thanks! Gundogan please!
-
The only thing that worries me about Ruben are his injuries. No doubting his talent.

Rafa Benitez signed 2 years deal with Napoli
The Mak replied to kobematabryant's topic in Football Chat
Someone will snap up Cavani and they'll drop, HARD. That said, I can see Mourinho going in for Cavani just for the lulz! The ideal situation though would be for him to take Torres of our hands as a replacement! -
Exactly. Their fanbase in the U.S. would be very weak in comparison to Chelsea, or so I would imagine. A full strength line-up is only a ploy to attract fans.

You can also tell it's a fake by the lack of crutches....
