Loan him for another season AFTER he signs a contract extension. Simples.
-
Exactly. And how pissed would you be with the blonde flop starting more games than you, even though you scored over twice the amount he has in the league? However, I'd like to think Mourinho will do his upmost to get rid of Torres if he comes, as difficult as it may be.
-
"Chelsea fans are singing the name of Paulo Ferreira, will they be singing the name of Benitez by the end?" What the fuck do you think? The most annoying set of commentators on the fucking planet. So anti-Chelsea is blatent. Fucking pair of tits. Great win though!

Torres needs to get off, that's all I know. Get Moses on.
-
Just stop talking. Every interview he does annoys me. I'd be happy getting 175k a week for being shit as well. Bogarde comes to mind...might be a little harsh, but seriously though; He was on 40k a week and did sweet f.a., Torres is on 175k a week and he's done just about the same amount as him when you compare contribution vs wages. Fernando Torres has insisted that he is happy at Chelsea, vowing that he will improve further next season. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8721853/Chelsea-s-Fernando-Torres-intends-to-see-out-his-contract-at-Stamford-Bridge

Torres reminds me of something else with 'S' and 'T' in it.... SHIT!
-
Oh shit, he's at it again. His customary end of season "I'll be better next season, I promise" speech: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8716469/Fernando-Torres-delighted-with-form-for-Chelsea "Fernando Torres believes he is getting back to being the player that prompted Chelsea to part with £50m to bring him to the club. "It's been a good season for me," Torres told Chelsea TV. "Top scorer in the team, winning a trophy, scoring in the final. Things are becoming normal." Winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League provides a positive conclusion to what has been a turbulent season for Chelsea, who were in contention for seven trophies at the beginning of the campaign. "We were expecting to win much more this season," said Torres. "We were playing for finals and it's not been easy. "At the end I think we can say it's a good season, but we're looking forward to the next one." " I'll tell you what he's like, the last guy to leave at a party. No matter how many hints he gets, he just won't leave. Despite the obvious, despite the fact the majority of his goals have come against poor opposition. It's like he has to say these things ("top scorer in the team, winning a trophy, scoring in the final") to make people believe he should stay. That he's worth 175k a week...well, no Mr. Torres. You're not worth 175k a week, nowhere near it. He can say all this crap all over again for the next couple of weeks, I really hope that as soon as José arrives, he's out the door!

Australian reporter is pranked while talking about Chelsea's EL win over Benfica http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wqvZ01B0_EM#!

Did you see the troll who got a ultra-super-fast-mega-bale ban on page 7? Muahahaha
-
Gotta say, I didn't expect that! But, hey ANOTHER TROPHY!!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
-
So why have people been rating Matic exactly? For his ability to get away with absolute murder in the middle of the pitch? I don't get it...
-
Has anyone counted the free kicks? 'The final of fouls, dives and free-kicks' - thrilling stuff.
-
This ref is some piece of work.
-
Haha, Jesus! That is hilarious! Welcome to the Europa League boys!
-
Knew it. Boys don't look up for this. No closing down, no getting to the loose ball, easily passing it around outside the box. If Benfica were any good, they would've already scored already. We're just short of kicking it in the net for them.

That's it, measure him up against Messi and Barcelona. And all of those goals were because of him then? All 5 goals? So far you've only mentioned one game against one of the best teams ever constructed...your argument seems to be getting weaker the more you speak. Essien has shown he sufficient enough for La Liga and I'd say he would be sufficient enough as a DM for us. Though probably against teams out of the top 6 or so. However, his wages are a different matter altogether; he's probably on quite a bit, but I'm not sure. He can definitely contribute as a DM though. As slow as he has become, he's certainly more mobile than Mikel. He won't be a starter though as we'll end up buying a new DM/DLP in the summer for sure.
-
No, he was played consistently only in his first year only. Does 13 games sound like half a year to you? There was also a reason he was played in his first year: he played well. Aside from making a mistake here or there, he played exceptionally well for someone his age. You seem to be making it out as if Pepe and Ramos are Beckenbauer in comparison?! The red card specialists?! Really? They too are prone to brain farts just as much as any La Liga defender, but at least if Ricky made a mistake, it was mainly due to his failing body. In the second season he didn't play well, so he was dropped. Besides, what is La Liga know for? Defending? I don't think so. When you have one of the top two teams in the league with Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil etc. You can pretty much forget about the defence. Barca do it all the time. The fact that you're basing your argument on one player, one time (and who actually played well), in a completely different team, in a completely different league with a different ethos just shows how laughable your argument is. Mourinho is a winner above anything else. I don't see him ever jeopardising that over sentimentality.
-
Mate, you've already said this in the Essien thread. It's like you're just saying it for reactions. Mourinho isn't stupid. He wants to win above anything else. He knows when a player has had it. Just look at the Pepe/Varane situation at the moment.

Gotta laugh From @usasoccerguy (pisstake): "Soccer fans of the Chelsea Franchise Club have been making their way to Amsterdam this week for their Minor Eurosoccer Cup final tie with Portugaleze franchise Ben Fica. In a week of real crazy soccer drama, talk of the Blue Lions’ tie has been minimized. First there was the shock news that Coach Sir Alexi Ferguson would be retirizing, and then the Wigan Warriors went and took the England Soccer Cup back to the DW40 soccer stadium..." http://news.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/football/europa-league/coach-beneathez-can-guide-blue-lions-to-minor-eurosoccer-cup-glory_154619.html

Great, so my second guess was right. Thanks for that!
-
Exactly mate! I'm pretty sure it was clear to everyone that Hazard's season was over, but he still brought him for the extremely vague hope that he would be fit...smacks of desperation! Either that or Hazard is there for the LOLs.
-
If I'm totally honest, I don't see us winning. Even with Hazard or our full team or whatever, I just see it as a game similar to the Super Cup; as in, one side cares a lot more about the trophy than we do.
-
Yep. Txiki Bergiristain is one for sure. Some said that he was the one that interviewed Mourinho for the Barca job and turned him down, that part is just a massive rumor though. Anyone associated with Barca doesn't like him, that's for sure.
-
There's no real rumors? (not up to date much, in library most of the time so I use TC as a newsfeed) Then why the hell are some people here freaking out?!?
